They aren't hard. Just a bit time consuming the first time. Once you have a good idea on if backlash is X then do a shim around Y it speeds up quite a bit. Its the first time and the trail and error that makes it time consuming.

Build a simple stand too. Makes it so much easier having the third secured and facing straight down.

I forget the name of the bar next door... wing night on tuesdays with free admission to Big Louie’s.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t go there a few times, or every Tuesday for a couple months. Fortunately I was just the designated driver. My buddy was the lonely one lol.

I think my fondest memory is trying to get on the wall at Hoppers for drinking a pint of all 66 beers on tap.... in a 3 day weekend.

I didn’t last, but my buddy (same guy) made it through something like 48 before they kicked us out.

Bruh, I definitely was at Big Louie's way to much. Also the wing joint next door was called Chicken Bones not a bad spot. On like Friday or Saturday nights they had bottomless cup for girls, best night to go for me. They are to drunk to know I'm ugly. I think my sister actually has a shirt from hoppers for drinking all the beers. Definitely didn't do it in a 3 day weekend though haha.

Side note, when are you free. I want to install my snorkel.

For those of you wondering or looking for tip Victory4x4 produced this video last year doing a set on a third gen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vegkZZfcFWo

Its a bit different on 2nd gens but same shit applies, one of the better videos i've seen.

Jesus were you guys actually stationed at lost in the woods? I only had a couple short stints there, but that was more than enough for me.

I remember Big Louie's though :anonymous:

Anyone in the Spokane area looking to do the 2012-2015 front end conversion on their 2005-2011? If so, Id be willing to do a straight across trade for your 2005-2011 hood, grill and headlights. Going to be selling the tacoma so I am taking it back to orginal 2005-2011 front end. PM if interested.
**Color has to be "Super White" with hood and grill**

I spent the better part of fall, through the winter and into spring at lost in the woods for NBC training when the army still did that there. Glad it was then and not during summer. All the ticks n things that slither where in hibernation.

I haven't had it done personally, but there are a lot of members in the 3rd gen forum who have. If you're not out wheeling it and getting pinstripes all the time I would say it's worth it.

    Ha!

No, I went to AIT and a few longish courses during my time in the Army. I probably spent close to a year there, all together.

Chicken Bones! That's it. Shitty pool tables, decent wings, and cheap beer. Hard to beat that.

We spent a lot of time at "The Elbow" as well. Much more "local" scene. My best memory from there is when I was DDing my buddy (same guy drinking at Hoppers.. I see a trend) and he asked some guy's wife the status of her below the belt grooming. As we left a few minutes later, my buddy was intoxicated to the point that a child could have kicked his ass, the guy followed us out and charged him in the street. He definitely had the upper hand, so I had to intervene. Cheap shotted the dude in the throat, placed him in the recovery position on the ground and headed out. Not my proudest moment.

Many many fond memories in MO. We got the most out of our rental cars and explored a LOT around there.

Late to the party, but I have. Seems pretty good, but I wouldn't pay to have it done.
