If the snap ring is missing you should clean the bores out and put a new one in, you need that for safety.

Not today, but recently: my truck purrs now after a long series of moves that started with gas additives, then intake additive, then plugs and wires. Turns out that all the early moves were good moves and needed, but it was adjusting the valves that took care of the "rough idle" and the codes P0300 and P0100...

It costs money but I knew up front that this was a restoration project - and compared to what people pay for the newer trucks that I would not own, it isn't even much money:)

All manual or ADD hubs doesn't make a difference with the tcase. All that would change is if you wire up the ADD tube or not. They should both work with the correct auto tranny you stated

Those bearing cost $10 and are easy to replace.

If you let them go too long, which it sound like you already have, it'll ruin your lower rod end. Makes for a much more expensive fix.

I don’t know how long they’ve been like this:(. Just was down lookin at stuff the other day and found it.

They’ll have to wait a week or so either way. I can’t do anything about it for a minute.

Do you have Dakar’s? I think my noise is caused by the driver side spring eye drifting a little side to side on the outer bushing sleeve. Like it was maybe not a very tight fit when the bushing was pressed in and the metal on metal is what is popping, but only when wet enough. I would love to get it to stop haha.

I do but I don't think that is the cause of it... But I'll probably check it out. Popping comes more from under my seat it feels.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
You are right. The one pictured on the right does not have the actuator and has a slightly longer input shaft.

I feel like I have read about some sort of torsion bar under there that could need tightening but haven’t investigated

Has anyone had this happen to them?

If so, please advise. I had some pretty bad driveline vibrations right before this, but I thought it was just the carrier bearing was bad.

Also, don’t worry, I’m not stranded and it’s not my nice Tacoma it’s just my extra.

Cut all that crap out of there and installed a switch panel with chargers and volt gauge! Boy was that a pain in my butt!!! But done except for adding lights on outside maybe next mod day will have some by then!

Going to cover that gap up on the bottom with some door trim!

Something tells me they have issues with whole numbers let alone fractions and decimals.

Seems pretty sketchy, I feel like the fancy nut thing had to have come loose or stripped or something. Have you had or done any work involving that area done?

OK heres the deal. My 5-lug is a 5-speed v6 SR5 but did not come with clutch start cancel from the factory.

Looking at the rheostat harness, there's three or four extra plugs zip tied to it. I presume one of them is for the clutch start cancel. If i put in a button would it work?

Probably, it is a tiny plug, basic feature too. Just bypasses the clutch depressed switch and turns on a light for the remainder of ignition on
