Did you like it out there? I would imagine that’s a tough place to grow up as a kid.

Talking some of them at the NWOL Rally the past couple years they seem like a good group of guys. I'd like to get mine done over there, only issue would be getting my truck back over the pass on a fresh set of gears that need breaking in.

That being said I am going to stop at Randy's after work here in a half hour or so and see what their prices are like for a Yukon gear swap.

As long as you take your time you should be fine, there was a guy on here that drove from their shop back to spokane without issues. Anyway you could pull your thirds and use your wife's car or something.

Speaking of NWOL Rally, tickets went on early bird sale a couple days ago. I'm gonna grab mine Friday.

True, I'm a ways out from getting them done still anyway, I will get it figured out by the time I am actually ready to pull the trigger.

Its not horrible growing up there. Definitely a different way of life. I actually grew out out the south gate, so its all farm lands and nothing close. We didn't have a movie theater, malls, shit like that to go to growing up unless we drove all the way to "town". We did other things to occupy our time, float on the river, drink beer, have bonfires, ride four wheelers. Stuff kids should be doing these days, not getting dropped off at the mall by mommy and daddy.

So I stopped in at Randy's Ring and Pinion today and they quoted me $2200-2300 for front and rear 4.56 gears installed on a 2013 with the factory E-locker. I would assume most other setups would be fairly close in price to this.

That's a pretty good video explaining things. Never seen someone measure backlash off the bolts though. Everyone I know measures of the teeth. And geez did he get a good deal of the gear marking paint and feel like he had to use it all up lol. (though he might have done it just for the video) but everytime ive done it/seen it done just use the same 3-5 teeth and wipe old paint/apply new to the same teeth

Is that for a drop the whole truck off and they disassemble everything or a just drop the thirds off?
