My tire grew a little penis. What is this? Also, they chipped my wheel

That’s the plug the fixed your tire with. Could be a patch if they patched internally (removed the tire from the rim).

Internal plug patch. Best way to fix a hole. I'd say something about the chip before they say it's been too long.

That’s normal, could be cut a tad shorter but it’s fine. Chipped wheel tho, call your service writer ASAP and tell them, otherwise if they’re dicks they’re going to say it was already there and won’t take responsibility. -Tech at Toyota lol

I did. The whole ordeal was a headache. The rep disappeared and my truck sat finished in service for 30 minutes until I went and found someone. Left a VM with the service manager this morning and the GM responded to my not so nice google review so I left a VM for him. How can such a simple task be messed up that much?

Wonder what cross-eyed tech cut that tail

Nothing to worry about; if it bothers you take it back and have them cut it flush. Or cut it flush yourself. Bummer about the wheel, though.

That repair looks like they just plugged it from the outside which shouldnt require removing the wheel. how bad is the damage to the wheel?

That's not an external plug. It was repaired properly from the inside.

X2. That is a bone-standard patch plug repair that was just cut a little long.
