And they sent you a kit different than what was advertised.

No Complaints on the ride at all, nothing like the reports I hear of a harsh ride from the single AAL. If anything I kinda wish i would have left the overload in to have a little more rake and not squat so much with weight in the bed. But I think the 884's probably give a little more lift than this pro kit, so without overload will probably be about right. You can also hang on to the overload and add it back in if you need more, I unfortunately did not hang on to mine.

I should be getting my kit tomorrow according to FedEx, and I will probably install the fronts this weekend. I'm trying to decide on what to do with the rear. I have 52k miles on a 2014 DCSB TRD OR. I don't typically haul anything nor do I tow very often. I was originally going to go with a 3leaf aal but I see some people are getting all new leaf packs for not many more miles than mine? Is the TSB for 2014 model as well? Any suggestions? I would like around an inch rake at least for when it's loaded with a little gear. I just don't want to be nose high.

I've read through some of the Baja threads. They dont act like its that stiff... but some people like it really stiff

You have the newer pack (3+1OL). You would probably be fine with just aal. But ya, General Spring whole new pack was only $400 to my door. I was going to go that route. Then i found a new set of takeoffs on CL for $75. So those plus aal and i'm at $288. Decision, decisions, o_O

I like the idea of a new pack, but you are right on that line. Me, spending all that money and time, i'd go new. Either takeoffs+aal or whole new pack. But i learned the hard way with my 1st lift, Billys. Not making that mistake again.

    LMAO!

They probably won't notice it that much if they only ride for a couple of hours offroad. After, half a day of driving; it'll be a different story. I guess if they add steel bumper, winch, skids, sliders, etc. then it won't be as stiff anymore.

Issue with billy's? (sorry for the ignorance). I just want to do things right but trying not to spend too much at the same time. The pro kit was too good of a deal to pass up, I don't want the hassle and extra cost of a taller lift than the pro.

So replied back to the seller saying the part number he listed, is different from what I received. This is what they replied back.

My buddy got the same thing requested a discount since they weren't exactly what was described. The guy gave a very similar response saying he can have fed ex pick them up and he'll sell them to someone else for more money. I think the seller needs to pay more attention to what they are selling and he seems like a punk from the emails.

Sorry we listed them with OEM # from dealer – they are as listed and are over $1100 new….I did not make $50 on them now so I can have fedex come get them if wish….i have 20 emails asking and offering $750 and more for them but we listed them AS Bilstein which they are with Red springs which is not a Bilstein option any more….so I went with the info we had. I can have fedex pick them up if wish…but you got a heck of a deal I wish I sold for more….and had more!

Someone ask why the TRD was cut off. That's the answer I want to hear. Something fishy going on here.

I asked, but I doubt they will reply. If they do, they probably will say they received it like that.

What a total dumbass. I wonder how they got a bunch of Baja kits for that price. That also seems fishy. Reguardless, it was listed wrong. I guess you don’t have much recourse unless you just want your money back. I doubt that would be a good idea though. The Baja kit at that price is still a steal.

I wonder if they got individual parts at a discount somehow (ie. a bulk lot of bilsteins at auction with the TRD cut off) and then threw together some kits.

I've got this covered :) The OME/Dakar's leafs were co-designed to the OME-Nitrochargers 60091. I looked up the the specs for both shocks, the Nitrochargers are 14.17 collapsed and 23.93 extended, the 5160's are 14.22 compressed and 24.06 extended. The Dakar leafs are also probably about 2/3" thicker than oem, effectively raising the bumpstop that same amount. So you'll have more extension/travel than the 60091, and more margin of error fully collapsed as well.

    Whole lotta stuff
FedEx dropped off my kit today, ordered from Rogue.

We sure these are 14" springs? I haven't disassembled the coilover yet, but I measured the coil installed (11") and it looks like this shock has little shaft travel. Next to my 16" king coils.
