Im on 4pm to 4am right now. Such a crappy shift. Especially with the dog who gets up at 7am and then again around 10am. Talk about feeling like never getting anything done

That is a nasty stint. Had to do that during a construction project once, thought no big deal just a few hour adjustment..........Wrong!

Great not having to fight traffic. Working days, I'm pissed off before I even get there sometimes.

Yeah I was coming from doing 4/10's 520am to 4pm. The first few days are always interesting. Wouldn't be bad if it was actually busy but its a lot of waiting around doing nothing

I don't mind graves so much, it's the killing of my weekends that's getting to me now.

We might have a guy leaving days though. While the other night guy has seniority for that guy's shift, that would leave the Sun-Tue (every other Weds) night shift open once folks got shifted (ha) around. I'm #1 for that other night-shift slot, and I'd be a pig in slop if I was working the other end of the week like that!

Well this maybe one of the shortest retirements. I interviewed for some part time work at Home Depot today. After the interview they took me in another room and I signed for a back ground check and took a drug test. I am hoping that means they are going to hire me after everything comes back clear

My dad tried to get a job at Lowes when he retired. He was coming from a supervisor position. Went it and told them he only wanted to work part, just being a stock person/department help type guy. Already had a fork lift license from previous work. Main kicker was no nights and no weekends. He didn't care about the hours it was just something to do pretty much.

Did all his interview and got an offer....to be an assistant manager, have to work evenings, and have to work weekends. Exactly what he told them he didn't want. He walked out after they said that..never even told them no just got up and left lol (my dads quite stubborn). Hasn't worked a day since he retired and loves it more. Does a fair bit of volunteer work and lots of work around the house instead

That was the main reason my dad went to get a job. Go from working a full time job since you were 19 to nothing was quite a shock. Luckily my parents have 2.5 acres so he keeps busy working outside.

He also still gets up and is at the gym every morning at 445 am lol

Just finished my shift and taking vacay for thur and Fri. I hope this will give me some time to regroup and start a new game plan. I've already got some issues with my kidneys or liver and this isn't helping.
