I got extremely lucky. Glad to be back to feeling like a human today. Only one day of feeling like death.

Less dumbasses starting fires would help as well. See idiots throwing cigarettes butts out the window on the daily.

If you make it close (which you probably won't in these conditions) to Little Grass Valley Reservoir, stop. The snowmobilers have groomed trails out there. No wheeled vehicles allowed. We made it all the way up Lumpkin Ridge Road to very near the reservoir a month ago and got warned off. There are no gates or signage from that direction. All that is at La Porte.

He won't make it any where near there. Chain control yesterday was down to challenge area and it will be dropping lower through Saturday.

Figured as much. But he mentioned the place and it brought to mind the "discussion" we had with one snowmobiler.

I still need to call the ranger but I've researched and looked high and low and we never did anything illegal. Had we drove on the groomed road we would have been in violation but up until the point we turned around we were perfectly within our rights as 4 wheelers

Thanks that’s the highest point on the Plumas for wheeled traffic. You can go to the tamarack turn off.

If you stay off the groomed trails your ok. With this snow I would be lucky to make it to 4000 foot unless some one cuts a trail in first. Going from a Jeep fully locked to the Toyota with a rear locker. I’m wondering how it is on the snow.
