    Yeah, they were, like 1984-1989...

    They were simply called Toyota Van, just like the Hilux was called Toyota Pickup...

    You're thinking of this vehicle. Close cousin....but not the same.

    Here is every vehicle owner's worst nightmare...

    I consider parking enforcement and tow truck drivers to be on the same level as car thieves!

    I'm actually good friends with one of the parking enforcement guys in Doylestown...

    But seriously, my issue isn't with authority here...

    It's with how they treat the fucking vehicles!

    In Doylestown, I saw an illegally parked Prius getting towed because there was road work going on and it had to gone by 4pm or something...

    They were yanking it up the back of the flatbed like a piece of trash...

    You could hear the tires squealing all the way up the flatbed, and the poor bastard who owned the Prius had left the parking brake on so the wheels weren't even moving! Makes me want to piss in the gas tank or slash the tires on a tow truck driver's personal vehicle to be honest...

    In Europe, they have flatbed trucks with hydraulic lifts that hoist the vehicle up and place them on the back of the truck!

    Parking enforcement is why I always take the train into the city. They're a bunch of scumbags who only want your money, and once they get your vehicle, they make it as difficult as possible to get it back...

    Don't park illegally. Problem solved. In 33 years of driving I've never been towed or received a parking ticket

    I've received two...

    One was only $10 and happened years ago, and my dad paid it...

    The second one was $50 and my boss paid it...

    You know why my boss paid it? Because I was on the job and parked on my employer's property..

    @Gr8fl , you probably know what guy I'm talking about...

    @Iamraiderpower
    @Plain Jane Taco
    @Jamesboy2233

    Here's a crazy story from earlier today that I forgot to tell you about!

    It was beautiful today, so I was walking my boss's dog, Tully. While I was talking to employees of Penn Taproom (a bar/restaurant), I was unfortunately distracted by Tully. Unseen by even the guy I was talking to, a local with an unfriendly German Shepherd was walking his dog...

    Tully does not get along with other dogs (with a few exceptions). One time when I didn't have Tully with me, I'd asked this same guy from several feet away if his dog was friendly. He said "not really." The German Shepherd is very well-behaved on the leash, but in my opinion the guy should not be walking an unfriendly/unpredictable dog through town, at least not without a muzzle.

    So all of a sudden, I hear growling and snarling, I look around, and there's the guy and his German Shepherd. Tully starts growling snarling, and the German Shepherd does as well. We both control our dogs and are able to keep them from getting near enough to bite each other, and we don't say a word to each other. If your dog is so nasty, why in the hell would you go near any other dog?!?!

    After commenting on what an idiot the guy was for bringing an unfriendly dog into a populated area, I continued my walk and took Tully home a short time later.

    I decided to take a different way out of Doylestown and ended up on East State Street, though by the large hotel building that houses The Hattery and that pretzel place (again @Gr8fl , you know what place I'm talking about). There were two police cars parked out front, and one of the cops was talking with a woman. I was initially thinking that there must have been a fender-bender, or perhaps even a parking dispute (I once called 911 over a parking dispute, so keep that in mind). As I rolled past, the other cop came into view and guess who he was talking to...?

    Yup! The same guy with the same German Shepherd! I had the radio up to loud to hear what they were saying, but based on the body language of both the guy with the dog and the woman, and the fact that the police had separated them, something had taken place between the man in the woman. Based on what I know about that German Shepherd, and how I'd seen the dog act towards Tully earlier that day, I'd be willing to bet that the dog had something to do with what had taken place. I'm guessing that the dog attacked and/or bit the woman, or the woman had a child or a pet of her own that was out of my view, and the dog had attacked and/or bitten them...

    One thing you should know is that I have a habit of embellishing my so-called anti-authoritarianism. I talk a big talk when I'm pissed and/or hyped up, but believe it or not I am considered one of the most level-headed people in my circle of friends and often act as a mediator (when I really don't want to be put in that position)...

    Without saying things that can get a person banned, I'd say he's the exact opposite of the typical Texan!
