    It allows you to potentially run a smaller pulley for more boost since the fuel injectors will be supplying more fuel proportionate to boost pressure. Search is your friend in this case. Much has been said on this topic.

    I'm trying to figure out where to hook the hoses up for the oil catch can and can't figure it out on the trd s/c. Tried searching but couldn't find anything. So I'm wondering if someone with the catch can on a trd supercharger could snap a pic of where the hoses hook up to.

    On the drivers side rear of the valve cover is the pcv valve and the line connects to the bottom of the sc inlet right before it does the 180 degree bend. You disconnect the line off the pcv valve and run tubing to your catch can, then the return line from your catch can to the sc inlet.15198607554331437861667.jpg Not the best pic but look directly below the screwdriver. That's the line going to the intake, the other side of that line goes to the pcv valve.

    In one method, yes. Removing the pcv system from the intake at both ends, BY capping the intake tube as well as the intake manifold, is the only proper way to prevent a vacuum leak.

    Isnt the PVC the only thing thats rerouted to the intake? Doesnt the PCV relive pressure in the crank case? Man i need to find my catch can..

    I had to be more specific than the way you had mentioned it. I know some fool would see that and then just disconnect one side and vent it to atmosphere. Then cause a huge vacuum leak. Then complain that we told him wrong. Lol.

    This is how mine is. The engine sucks nothing from the valve covers. Both valve covers are routed into a catch can with a breather on the can.

    Hm. This makes me think of something refiners have known for a number of years and why methanol is slowly being phased out of de-icing/antifreezing applications.

    You are aware that EtOH is added to gasoline to increase the octane, correct? Ever since good ole MTBE was found to be a pretty potent carcinogen and banned, EtOH was the best alternative at the time.

    If you want "naturally" blended high octane gasoline without EtOH, or any other "additive" blendstock (e.g. lead, MTBE, EtOH), be prepared to pay a hell of a lot more for gasoline. What's good for the gander is good for the goose.

    Oh, and refining crude oil uses natural gas as well... To fire the heaters .


    You're paying for the detergents that are Shell-proprietary. I can't guarantee with confidence where the actual gasoline came from in your area, but I can tell you it didn't come from a Shell refinery. It likely came from tank that held gasoline refined from a half dozen refineries across the US.
