Not at all. Perhaps discoloration would be a more accurate term. Iirc, 2011 was not part of the TSB for DRL

 

What size fuse are you blowing and what cb do you have?

 

He has a cobra 75w and a 2a fuse. I feel like it should be AT LEAST a 5a.

 

I bet he's right on the edge. The 29 LX that I just picked up from Bill lists a max current drain of 3 amps in the manual. The Cobra 75 manual doesn't list current draw, just transmit power, which isn't useful. However, the 29 is a larger form factor with more bells and whistles, so I would expect it to draw more than the 75.


@Cody23 - Is the fuse blowing as soon as you turn on the radio? Or will it run until you try to transmit or receive?

Looks pretty cool. I keep one of those black Husky boxes from Home Depot in the bed (locking shell) - tow straps, hitch, compressor, etc. it’s... serviceable. Need another for camping gear as well. Those boxes look pretty cool though Cody; if you do get them throw in a quick write up!

Decided to bail on the overnight camping tomorrow night - forecast for our extended area is now showing 30mph sustained winds with 60mph gusts in some places. Camping in high winds with a tent cuts down dramatically on the fun factor.
