I'm tired of waiting for everyone to close their door so I can lock the doors with my keyless remote.

Anyone find out a way to wire the remote so that the doors don't need to be closed?

some of this, a little of that
I know what you mean, that extra couple of secs is a real pain.

j/k :p I don't know of any way and personally I like that they won't lock unless all of them are closed.

That feature defeats you thinking you are locking your ride when really one person didnt close their door all the way, leaving it wide open. Make your passengers pick up the pace and do it right.

Exactly. I like it that way.

If I hit the lock button and I don't see the signals blink, then I know a door isn't completely shut.

No way that I know of. What I do is wait until all the doors are open that need to be, then just hit the lock button on the door instead of the key fob.

It is almost impossible to lock keys in the car if you have to wait for people to get out then use remote.....stupid I agree but I've done it with past cars.

This mod would make locksmiths happy.

I hate when I catch flak for this when I was never asked to lock the door. What I'm supposed to magically know what your thinking?

It seems that a lot of these people are used to power door locks and don't realize that manual locks are still put on new vehicles. But I know what you mean. It seems that even when they do know, they "forget" to lock the doors (inconsiderate assholes).

    Have you tried the key?

How about pushing the lock button on the driver's door?

the lock button on the door also does not work when a door is open. I like it that way... can't lock your keys in the truck that way

Does on my 09.... Key fob won't lock with the door open, but the lock button on the door will.
