Him: "It looks like it hasn't been done in years"
You: "Longer actually! I've actually never gotten a rear alignment on this truck"
Him: "Well I'll add it in for $50!"
You: "So, since it's a solid rear axle, I assume the rear alignment involves straightening my frame. I think $50 is a great price!"

    That guy doesn't know jack.

Because their machine is telling them so. Technically a rear alignment can be done with a solid axle, but it's a waste of time unless you're WAY off spec because the axle shifts a few 8ths of an inch back & forth due to play from the leaf spring bushings, flex in the springs, etc. And actually fixing a solid rear that's out of spec involves a LOT more than $50 would cover.

Guess so. well he came out and said that his tech said I needed to do the rear as it was out of allignment. Short conversation and he frowned walked back and said correction the front needs to be aligned with the rear and presented the sheet showin it off-center with the rear. I declined as this thing has far bigger issues with tracking straight on the road. In the end he said they did it anyway for no cost. I thought that was implied with front wheel allignment but I guess not.

    What's better than 1 20" bar?

Saw this 2nd gen on 495/95 today in Ma. Really nice paint job. Almost Patriots looking. The dark blue was iridescent metallic and looked great in the sun...

Well in that scenario his tech did the front wheels wrong, since they're supposed to align the front with the back...Unless they're advertising just a front wheel alignment, in which case it's usually just a toe & go.

I'm talking about the keel on my boat, not the one on my wang. That one sees plenty of use year round. The one on the boat...not so much during the winter.

This is my exact thought process, but with round lights. No light bars for me! (For now)

"plenty of use year round" I believe you, but it sounds like someone trying to bluff that the've gotten some recently.

"Yeah I've totally gone 20 toes to jesus recently! My thang sees plenty of use all year round! Just last week I was..."

That's what I was trying to get at, not steal anyone's thunder.

Speaking of selling stuff. Anyone want to buy a low profile tool box?

Edit: for a Tacoma. Need to specify due to F150 traffic in here :spy:
