Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
so by that rationale, if the kid were naked, they wouldn't have tazered him?

a kid running through a large public event automatically denotes a terrorist attack these days? america really is crumbling. if this is the majority's mentality...Bin Laden has already won. :(

I haven't read most of the posts, so sorry if this is a repost.

Every single person in that stadium knows it's against the rules to go on the field. If you ignore the rules, then FUCK YOU... You have no right not to get tased.

Not to mention the fact that a person like that does represent a thread to the players and officials on the field (we've seen Tennis players stabbed during a match and first base coaches get beaten up during games... You just never know.)

My 300lb. schizophrenic patient got tased in the ER a few months ago...... it was BY FAR the most amazing thing i've ever seen!! I was speechless! As soon as it was over, he started cursing at the cops and tried to get up, so they hit him again. He eventually gave up.
It's relatively harmless to a young, healthy adult with no underlying cardiac problems. The only true harm would be if that kid would've fell on his head and broke his neck or something. Anyways..... 5 seconds @50,000 volts+ youtube=15min. of fame baby!!:headbang:

everyone keeps saying, "he wsa just having fun". ok, you're absolutely right. i'm all about having fun, and even illegal or immoral fun. but if i get busted, i'm not gonna act like i didn't know it was coming. thats the thing. i dont have a problem with the kid. i bet he's pretty cool. and i dont have a problem with him running on the field. its stupid but hey, its entertaining. but i also dont have a problem with the cops tasing him. so i dont have a personal problem with any of the kids actions, but he broke the rules, he got tased. big deal

Yep, should have been tazed and then the Police should have driven to Dad's house and given him a few volts too. Dad should have said...."Do NOT do that, it will end badly!"

Unless the officers and the majority of the fans were women, drunk women, who had just come from a male strip club.. he still would've been tazed. Naked woman running around the field = WIN! Naked man running around the field = FAIL! Unless you like soccer.. then you deserve it. :D

See other arguements, i.e. safety of players, officials, fans, etc. The asshole hopped a fence and ignored orders to stop, that's resisting arrest. Now.. being a LEO, do you want to tackle the jackass, risking him having a gun, knife, whatever and getting injured, or taze him, which as a result also gives others a case of the giggles watching him flop around like a fish out of water, and keep from getting close enough to be injured before you can secure his ass?

I've never given a cop a reason to taze me.. cooperate and things go cool. Act like an a-hole and become the next Break.com Laugh of the Day.

You were doing fine with the first sentence. After that you show your ignorance. Who says the kid had no bad intentions? Why is it the cops responsibility to lose 30lbs? What if he was 30 lbs lighter and had some other disability that prevented him from catching the kid or the kid was larger and stronger than him? How about a 55 year old cop? What if it was a female police officer and she was a foot smaller and 30 lbs lighter than this kid and couldn't catch this young man. What would be your next stupid statement? She should have been taller, faster, stronger...
    Stupid is as stupid does.

fans have been running on fields for decades, this is the first ive heard of a taser being used. so apparently if not using one in the past has worked, why use one now? i know the rules for using one is to stop a fleeing suspect, not a fan running on a field. given the kid should not have been doing that, but why not just tackle him like they've always done???

everyone saying "o he was just trying to have fun" Ok so maybe the next time someone robs a bank because "he was just trying to have fun" Shouldnt be arrested for it right?

Bottom line. He deserved it, and the cop did the right thing. Also why are there people saying the kid is a victim and the cop is at fault? Grow up.

Sorry, the kid got what was coming to him. He KNEW what he was doing was wrong and he made the decision to do it anyway. It was not a mistake. It was INTENTIONAL. NO ONE besides him knew what his intentions were. Like others have said, he could have had a knife or gun. Why should the cops risk getting injured tackling the little punk. Tase him and no one gets hurt and he gets his 15 minutes of fame. He IS NOT a victim, he is a criminal.

ya he deserved to get tased. Theres no knowing what his intentions were. As for the resisting arrest and those charges that could be a little excessive. I mean if he was just being a dumb kid, the tasing should have been a pretty good punishment.

Put yourself in the owners position. If some jackass runs onto the field and takes out a key player, that can put some serious financial risk to the owners investment.
There are millions/billions at stake when it comes to these elite athletes.

I bet this taser incident will be a strong deterent for other idiots.

Give the cop lifetime seasons tickets, box seats for having the balls to taser the jackass.
