2nd gen or w/banger can’t beat that unless you drive in traffic a lot spend money you saved on mods. With 14 you get some modern conveniences the backup camera was biggest thing I liked.

The black interior trimming was nice and a better looking radio as well. But the 3rd gen interior is soooooo nice. the 14 might as well still be the 2005 with a backup camera and a face lift.

My first mod was a screwdriver to the front drivers side fender flare.

(trying to take off the mud flaps for trimming) :anonymous:

There's a misconception of voided warranties by modifying your vehicle. Yes, you replace your stock suspension to lift your truck, they're not going to warranty that suspension, bit everything else is still under warranty.

Don't trim the boots, just slide em further down the shock.

A sales guy at the dealership said over 6" lift would void warranty? I didnt do any further research on it because i wasnt going that big but he could have just been spit balling.

I got a front bumper you can have if you decide for a early 2nd gen facelift lol an spare mud flaps to trim. I’ll be waiting your new truck like this.

I'm surprised 3rd gen'ers arent chiming in. I assume they were once in a similar position.

We ended going with the Switch-Pros SP8100. Instead of having a big set of relays, it's one compact unit that's solid state (no fuses needed), and it is a pretty small footprint switch plate (8 switches).

Downside is... It's expensive (ish)... Around $500. Works well though and I don't have to F with it or have a wiring rats nest.

The smart play would have been to buy my '11, with 77K on the ticker, lifted, Leer shell and Bedrug, etc... I just checked the dealership inventory, and someone has that sweet truck (hopefully) in their garage...
