You only have to have a front plate if there is a recessed area on the front bumper from the manufacturer.

 

I dunno man I really think it's a state law thing. I've been pulled over in 3 different vehicles for no front plate and all didn't have a spot to mount them without drilling into the existing bumper. Two of those times were in DFW and the most recent was in Mineola (ETX).

 

I've never gotten a ticket, and never have had any officer or ST mention it. It was probably an excuse to pull you over.

 

My Tacoma didn’t have recessed area on bumper. They drilled the mounting bracket onto it.

Also, pretty sure it’s a state law requirement, without having anything to do with bumper design.

 

Yeah, I've only received warnings for them each time.

Ok dont touch the db knob. Its for bass boost. That will add a bit more bass if you feel like you are not getting enough. The freq responce is 80-200 i would set it to between 80 and 100. There is no slop setting, im sure its built into the sub/amp combo already. The phase has to do with the freq waves... but that is a very technical thing to adjust and you would need a mic and computer to read the waves of the sub and the door speakers and adjust the sub to match...
This is a very simple image but you can see that they sound waves do not line up in the bottom image...
