    Here’s a quote I got from Toyota for all the parts necessary to do a new scooped hood.
    Obviously you’d have to paint it and have it shipped.

    I'm pretty sure any Toyota dealer will sell you the hood unpainted, I called the dealer in my area in Massachusetts and the said they could order me the hood

    Probably biggest reason someone buys the sport is cause of the scoop so any sport owns out there what would be a reason to part with the scoop?

    It's almost worth it in long run as long as hoods were in same condition, going thru dealer for parts and paint would cost a lot more

    the hood scoop is only for looks.
    I think the sun glare on the scooped hood is what makes them trade to a non scooped ones..

    I wonder if painting the scoop part matte black would help with that?don't get me wrong I love my sr5 but if I knew then what I know now about the trims on the tacoma id probably go with the sport if they had MGM color, depending on options they about same msrp

    You can order the matte black decals that come stock on the TRD Pro to go on your hood to take away glare.
