That's surprising. Must be the tire manufacturer difference or something.

EDIT: Plus the tires will sit like an inch lower when actually on the truck. Was his unmounted and yours on the truck?

No I was just planning on making the tent rack with it. My trailer already has a frame on it and so I would just be adding to it.

Got ya. Tire manufacturers will vary in height and a lot of those measurements are taken from certain wheel widths if you vary on that either narrower or wider wheels the tires may be slightly taller or shorter.

I estimate structural steel projects for a steel fabricator. Plate steel prices have increased from .42/# to .70/# in the last two weeks, and steel shapes (angle, channel, w-beam) are starting to increase as well.
Now the President is about to put a Tariff on imported steel and Aluminum (I was going to add a web link, but they all seem to have their own opinion about whether the Tariff is good or bad. I don't want to get political, so you can google "steel tariff" yourself if you want) which will tax imported steel (which is most of what we use) somewhere between 25% and 50%, depending upon the country it comes from.
American steel manufacturers won't be able to meet the demand, and there is likely to be shortages.
    Buy your bumper now <3
