    Pretty close

@Speedytech7 if you’re going to mount it up that high straight with the frame, you’ll have to taper the frame plate to fit under the back lip of the bed.

    Can see it here

I like your design a lot, cut up a bit on the sides like you have it is really good looking. Trying to chop all the low hanging fruit off. Just curious how you went about designing the frame plate portion, hard to get a feel for where everything should be ya know?

Ooooh, I wouldn’t think making the swing out part would be the difficult.

It's pretty tough, lots of weight that basically has two points of contact when closed and one when open. Not easy to avoid cracking and bending.

Yeah, you'd have to imagine it on a truck, I'm not talented enough to design the Tacoma rear end in solid works haha

Your bumper is a perfect example of what I'm trying to do!

    good start

i like the design and the way the trucks look with the high clearance, I'm just to early in my build to do any cutting up on the truck

my frame plates are 4” x 1/4” plate. So I started with a 4” rectangle of cardboard. Started marking and trimming from there until I had the design perfect. Traced it out on the steel plate and cut it out with the plasma.

Be happy to get you any pics/measurements you need.

It looks tapered the opposite way you usually see them. Doesn't look like you have much of a step to stand on. Looks good though.

It would be awesome if there was a database of models that you could easily build bumpers and such for.

Edit: maybe it's just the lighting that makes it look tapered.

Also I think my keyboard on my phone just sobered up with the update!

Anyone know what brand of headers these are. They're 3.4v6 for sure but don't look like TRDs.20180301_152228.jpgnot the best pic but there short tube headers.
