    Anyone have any thoughts on the powered Pop and Lock versus the manual key version? I'm happy to run the wires as described in the instructions but I've read a few reviews of the actuator failing, at which point I am not sure you can open the tailgate.

    8.5 Fisher XV2, some switches, some lights.
    Seems like it would totally f*ck the weight distribution, too. Trucks are light in the tail anyway; if you put a super light bed on there it'll be even worse. Won't be able to go anywhere in the snow without putting it in 4x4

    Edit- Now a carbon fiber camper top, that'd be sweet. The fiberglass one I've got is heavy as hell, and it's not even for an 8 foot bed.

    I put one in mine, and so far so good. I remember seeing something when I was putting mine on, that another TW member had suggested. Long story short, he tied a string to the part of the actuator that moves, and made it "hang" out so that he could pull it if it ever stopped working.

    I had it on my 12 and loved it. I ran wires up pass side to access cab. Just secure the unit in the bed otherwise it makes a twang noise when shutting gate
