Loose trim piece on steering wheel is driving me nuts.

No time to take it in today. Has anyone else have had this? Truck is two months old, should this be under warranty?

Mine does that too. After owning my truck for over two years I just got used to it.

 

Does it rattle when you drive? If not, I would find it difficult to drive by grabbing the plastic and not the rubber grip.

 

Only rattles if I rest my hand on it or if I'm going hand-over-hand. Basically only if you apply pressure to it. It really is a nitpick but idk this is rubbing me the wrong way. I usually rest my left hand around 7 o'clock when cruising but this is making me rethink my driving posture.

 

Mine does it too, just on the left side.

Same exact issue here, it bugged me pretty bad at 1st not enough to deal with my dealership though.. I've driven other Tacoma's at work and have noticed the same issue on all the ones I've driven.. eventually I'll fix it myself

 

Did you ever fix this issue? I have a 2020 and it does the same thing. Drives me nuts.

 

Same issue with the 2018 I had. 2020 isn’t as bad but it’s still there.
