So baby Parker was having some spit up poop issues more then a regular baby. Few hospital, dr visits a misdiagnosed of acid reflux with the medication to help it.

It ended up being pyloric stenosis that requires surgery. He had the surgery today and everything went fine and he is recovering in the NICU. We are very lucky we caught this before it went down hill into dehydration.

Baby P is up and on the go he is after having a few feedings and all went well. Something like this puts life into perspective and makes you realize how fragile we relay are. Thanks for the thoughts and wishes guys :)

Got in the CAT and dug out the 07 as I want to put it in the garage tonight at work so I can possibly work on it the weekend depending on what time baby p gets out and how he is feeling

But I did get to play with cat loader :)

No taco working today we are getting ready to go see baby p in nicu. He is doing realy good feeding burping (my favourite) and pooping. Eating like a savage it’s possible he might get out later today or tomorrow.

I will be spending the day eating data on my phone looking at tw :)

Ps I have the internet finished, read it from start to finish. My phone data is toast, the phone is melting as it’s so hot and my wife is getting the Parker cuddles and won’t share.

SOoooooo i am one of the co founders of our local Toyota group you can find us on FB under "NL yota Trucks" if your interested have a look

I write HOW TO's on things i have done to try and help out others and build our community

REAR DIFF MOD That you need to DO Trust ME !!!!

This is EASY yes you can do it with zero mechanical ability !

Your saying ah i only use my truck off road a few times i don't need this YOUR 100% WRONG

This applies to almost every 4x4 TOYOTA has ever made
I have done this on my 1st gen tacoma and 2nd gen tacoma.

This breather is like a metal check valve directly on top of the rear diff and is open to the elements. The spinning of the gears in the rear end builds up pressure and it blows off through this. The pressure pushes the ball in the check valve breather open allowing the air to escape then the spring pushes it back down closing it.

This will rust and will fail, your rear diff will curate pressure in the housing as the breather is not breathing. This will blow out your side axle seal putting gear oil into your brake drum lubricating your brakes. If this happens there is no saving them once soaked with oil.

This is the part # for the fitting for the 2nd gen Tacoma rear end. It replaces the clogged breather ontop of the diff and allows you to run a rubber hose up higher out of the elements.

I like to use rubber fuel line that will run from this fitting up to a higher location usually behind the drivers side tail light. The location can vary but as long as it is out of the elements you will be fine. Once the rubber line routing is planned i zip tie it into place and put a inline fuel filter on the end to keep the elements out.

    and your done !

    EDIT .... few pictures

    1. part # needed

    2. location of the breather on the rear diff

    3. clogged breather

    4. New fitting installed in top of diff

    5. rubber hose ran from new fitting to side storage box with inline fuel filter. ( I bought a small one after from a snowblower) on my 1st gen the exact same thing is done but the filter is behind the tail light.
