You're not in a hurry, you're just trying to pull the trigger now.

I spent 3 months shopping, driving and comparing trucks before I knew what I wanted, then 2 months waiting on my ordered truck to get here.

Ended up with perfect truck for me.

If you need a new clutch in a 15 gti already, you better get an auto.

My 13 year old toyota still had its original clutch when the headgasket blew.

Haha. It was because I got the car tuned, so much more torque even on a "mild" tune. I actually drive it like the 40 year old I am and not a kid so I was surprised it started slipping as well.

Wow this is a big thread. Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Sport as a front spoiler to improve gas mileage. Off road does not. Also, You also CANNOT get a sunroof on the Off road. I saw a post saying otherwise. Only double cab sports and maybe limited can have a sunroof package.

Plenty of offroad running around with sunroofs, you can't get a sunroof in a PRO.

Hmm. Alright then maybe they changed it for 2018 or it must be color and options specific. I tried to build a off road with a sunroof in 2017 and couldn't.

Yeah the stock clutches in Vw’s are pretty weak, they can’t handle much more torque than stock. I had a stage 2 tune before k04 turbo and it burned out the clutch.

Not sure how you were trying to build it but I've seen alot of 16 and 17 ORs and sat in a few that had sunroofs.

Pics are all over the place on TW with them.

I have a 2017 Off Road with a Sunroof, you have to be thinking about the TRD Pro.

Dam it, sales man lied to me. He told me 100HP. But drum brakes take 25 away, so maybe that's where you got the 75

Why the rush? Take your time and get what you actually want, spend the money wisely and you will be happy for many years to come.

So the manual was gonna take 2 months so after more research and realizing it was time for a change, I told him I'd take the MGM AT OR coming in early-mid March. Excited!

First mod will be the pro grille... original, I know. Lift/wheels/tires eventually but just going to appreciate a nice new stock vehicle for a while.

Drive it for awhile, change what you don't like. Took me a year to decide how I wanted to change the suspension without compromising the nice factory ride of the OR.

Don't lift it too high, makes it harder to get the kid in the carseat, especially if your wife is height challenged.

Keep your nose out of the aftermarket parts for awhile.

    Congrats on deciding.

haha thanks! Also after this purchase I don't have a few grand to throw at mods anyways.

Seat covers are helpful with a young kid.

isnt 4wd all four wheels if all have the same traction not needing the lsd kicking in?

You can use A-Trac if you need all 4 wheels going at once, if you are still stuck at that point then use the rear locker.

I think my question was more... if you have a say... sr 4x4 without OR extras... the 4x4 is only ever using one wheel on each axle? Never all 4?
