The amount of commercials is absurd

 

Dvr and skip commercials is the only way.

 

I am. Started the episode 15 minutes behind lol but the amount of times I am having to fast forward is ridiculous

 

I timed this last section. The show lasted 5 minutes 30 seconds until it went back to commercial

 

I noticed the same thing... 6 min of show and then 4 min of commercials!

Toward the end of the show, I was ready to kill Coral myself. And what's up with the red eyed Rick flashbacks?

 

Carl's visions of the future without him.

I imagine the Carol/Morgan phase he was going through was just because the 'End is Near' and it was going to be hard to fold his character as a full grown adult into a loose screenplay that keeps him a kid but I'll miss the link to the original family.

8 yrs. though.......maybe a hard left turn is best.

 

What happened to all the negative banter that usually happens here? Surprised it isn't blowing up in here now that it's gone.

So I legit did fall asleep in the episode...I was exhausted....and the extreme interest just isn't what it used to be.

I actually don't know what happened haha

 

I haven't watched since the first episode of season 8. I'm waiting for the "war" plot to move.

 

Tired story line. They've had about half a dozen chances to take out Negan, yet he lives. It's a soap opera.

 

The fear of the dead has waned in the show, and it's focused completely on human drama. Yeah, I know Carl died due to a bite, but still. The walkers don't present the same menace that they originally represented.

I actually think the problem could be too many people, stories, and character arcs. The cast is too big (including extras).

 

Only so many things you can do with a zombie themed show, its going into the 8th year of production and it seems like all the cliffhanging type moments have been done already. The creators are going to have to get creative if this thing is going to last much longer. Either way 8 years is a long time for a TV series to run.

 

I did it. It took over a year but I caught up. Well, technically I’m watching the episode from Sunday right now but I’m still at least current. I was about 4 eps into season 7 and I moved and cut cable and had to wait until they hit Netflix and then I was able to catch the first half of season 8 after they ran a marathon on sunday and they were all on the amc app until yesterday. The premiere ep is on there now (which is how I’m watching). I’m assuming the new eps will be on the app week to week...

So, I haven’t been able to read or post in this thread but I spent like an hour reading back through and while it was mostly people complaining about the show I’m glad to be back. Also I agree. This has been a painful binge
