I was a Budweiser drinker in my day

 

At one time, I can understand why folks drank it. I hated the taste of beer for a long time, but now there are many choices, even more if you like IPAs which are not my thing.

 

In fairness, if one is just guzzling them fast why spend more for good beer?

 

I stop shot gunning shortly after high school, I hated the taste and found my buddy Jack to be my preferred slam down.

Guy contacts my wife and says she's next. So she made an arrangement with the guy for us to go look at it on Saturday morning.

Messages her today at around dinner time and says it's sold. WTF? How so if she was next? Fucking douche bag was probably messaging everyone regardless of order they showed interest in, and sold it.

Good thing we didn't say anything to my son about it.

Well no good deed goes unpunished... Pulled my coworker's 5 lug 2wd 2nd gen out if a mud hole today after work (long story), went and hungout with my buddy and we were hitting some muddy back roads. Wash boards, pot holes, etc. on these dirt back roads and i noticed my headlight on the passenger side hoop looked weird. Got back to his place to drop him off and the shroud came off the projector lense

Get home, pull the grille out, take the headlight bolts out, unplug everything (which is a bit for retros) and it is already after 10 at this point. Go out to the road, hop in the DCSB, start it up and go to pull it in the driveway... Turning the steering wheel- stiff, easy, stiff, easy, all in the same spots. WTF! Park it, and pop the hood. No power steering leaks and the reservoir is full... Ooooohkay then onto the next thing... Grab the PB blaster and crawl under the truck, the lower intermediate shaft u joint is quite rusty so I blast the piss out of it with penetrating oil and put my tools away from the headlight ordeal. And go for a quick spin in my DCSB and the steering loosens back up. looks like $200 to spend on the daily now for a new lower intermediate shaft

 

Gotta love the high mileage maintence.

I’ve got a leaking valve cover gasket right now and still no A/C. I don’t care enough to fix the a/c though. Just needs a new line.

 

Well that fucking sucks to say the least. Damn Drew. Talk about shitty luck.

 

My regular cab's went at 105k miles and my dad's went at 150k miles. Valve cover gasket and spark plug tube gasket is easy, just that main harness is a bitch to deal with

For real man. Helped a guy out and then had a good night to get shit on by the trucks when i got home

 

I do a southwest card...about $2K a month and it lets me fly for free w/ the family at least once a year...we just did a week in L.A...I only paid cash for one ticket one way. The rest was all points....ALWAYS pay it off...Zero interest paid since I was 18.My Hollywood selfie...

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday. School already canceled down here. At about 5am sounded like sleet bouncing off the window, but now it just sounds like rain. This is gonna be interesting.

Are you going to be able to fix that?! Gonna have to take the headlight apart, right?!

Yeah... sure as hell sounds like it based on the sounds coming from outside. Sounded like sleet at about 5am, not sounds like rain.

This was a Facebook local for sale thingy... but still, messed up. Especially when she guy told my wife it was her "turn". That implied the people ahead of her had passed... guess that wasn't true. Oh well.

 

Problem with any fb/cl listing is the people who you are trying to sell too. I somewhat regularly have random stuff up on CL and I can't tell you the amount of fucking idiots you have to deal with to get a sale done. Then, half the time they try to rip you off when you get to the sale (I've been given 1k in counterfeit money and people try to re-negotiate constantly). So if they found someone who said "I have the cash and I will come grab it today" You can bet your ass, they are selling to him and your email appointment holds no weight.

It sucks, but it sucks because the general population sucks, it's not necessarily the seller's fault lol.
