What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

In no particular order but I finished installing a bunch of swag I ordered for the new to me in January '11 DCSB Prerunner Sport:
LED license plate lights, LED interior lights from the vendor here, LED lights behind my climate control in amber and LED lights in blurple in my switches, Broke one of my switches so I'm looking for a new one... SOS recovery hook, that tailgate anti-theft device sold from another TW vendor and some OEM bed rail hooks, the small ones. Got my satelite radio installed. And last but not least I did the Caliraised LED replacement fog light pods, I got the 18W ones and just ordered the amber covers. Also used some t-bolts for the bed rails to install my bike fork racks.

I'm coming up on 90K miles and thinking about what I need to do to service it. I'm the fourth owner and have no idea if scheduled or recommended maintenance has been done. I'm thinking about putting it on a rack and going through the front end and also checking out the hubs and bearings? I'll do the trans and rear diff at 100K. What about coils? Radiator will probably get done soon. What else am I missing?

 

Good to hear about the color. I know there are a bunch of different types do you have a link to yours? (just comfort that I know they work well).

I love my list too. I've thought about the cap but the rack I have on there now isn't even with the stock trim if you know what I'm saying. Nevermind here's a pic.


So I think it might look a little off or be too hard to match.

Ahh was going to say. We have a few people that hang @ Gear Head Garage here that would help you get that lift on. That is if you lived near Portland.

Gotchaa, well I appreciate that! The only real part I'm worried about is the AAL since I've never had to take an angle grinder to anything so it'll be a fun learning experience I'm sure.

 

You will be fine. Take it slow wear eye protection and watch for kick back with that cut off wheel. Check out a few you tube vids and you will be good to go.

Oh wow, that place looks awesome. Especially as a Tacoma owner in Tigard without a garage.

 

New Tires! Excited to try something I've not seen on the road yet.

Old ones are 12-14/32" if anyone is interested in Copper MT's (listed here & elsewhere pretty soon)...

 

It works out great. Two lifts pretty much any tool you need. Great owner, that lets us have mod days there. Keep an eye on the next mod day thru PNW Expedition, lots of help on those days.

Go ahead & get a full clear face shield. Cut off wheels, if you're not paying attention, can do nasty things!

Not today, been uber busy with work, school and family, but last couple of weeks installed TRD rims, new blower motor for the climate control, new neutral position sensor, and new transmission cable assembly. Slowly getting all of the abuse from the previous owner undone.

How do you have that holster mounted in the first picture there and does it get in the way of anything? I'd like to have my gun in the same spot but haven't figured out how to mount it there yet

No it doesn’t get in the way of anything. The mount and holster is from Alien Gear Holsters.
