    Well its been awhile but I've finally made my way back to the forum after some unfortunate events. Started out on the forum with a 2013 Pyrite Mica TRD Sport that I had built just the way I wanted or at least started to build anyway.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/starting-a-build-thread-and-bs-of-course.420678/ <= build thread

    Then was involved in a pretty bad work accident that kept me in the hospital and outta work for over a third of 2017
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/involved-in-a-work-accident-with-pics.466048/ <== Link

    Due to the accident I had to let my 2nd gen go, which broke my heart along with all the other broke stuff I was mending lol. But now I've got my all new to me 1st gen Taco, my third overall and 2nd 1st gen, which is the exact Tacoma that made me want a tacoma in the first place, 2004 Black Extended Cab step-side TRDOR 4x4.(what a mouth full) This thing is immaculate and must have been taken care of by someone with borderline OCD because the condition is top notch for a 14 year old truck. Only thing missing was a 5 speed manual but that wasn't a big gripe. She's currently running 265's on stock wheels with a small level spacer up front and some n-fab steps. I've always been the kind of guy that loves modding and has to have things that are function over form. I seriously don't know what to do with this thing. I'm absolutely in love with exactly how it looks and runs as is so I'm really struggling whether or not to put a 3in bilstein lift with some 285s and SCS wheels on it or leaving it completely as is. Only time will tell. Anyways on to the crappy pics from when I picked it up off the lot.20180224_172437[1].jpg 20180224_172445[1].jpg 20180224_172457[1].jpg 20180224_172400[1].jpg

    Well just glad to be back guys and look forward to being a part of the community again. Let me know what you all think and whether you'd mod her or not since I'm still on the fence about it.

    Keep it stock and enjoy it. Get going on mods and before you know it it's too much this or that and you start looking for something to DD because that one isn't fun to drive everyday anymore.

    I just sold a 2013 pyrite mica to get a 1st gen 2 weeks ago ha! So far no regrets, i always wanted a 1st gen. SO, what kind of spacer is on your truck currently? is it a top plate spacer? im debating on just to do a mild spacer lift or do the 5100's front shocks on the 1st setting to level it out. Lastly are your tires 265-75-16 or 265-70-16?????

    Congrats on your new first gen!

    Your on the fence about modding yet....

    You’ve already decided on a set up haha

    Throw in some front coils, lead pack and uca’s

    SCS F’5 look noiiice on 1st gen, even better with 285’s

    Yeah you caught me lol. I dont know why but i dont like the f5's im thinking some SR8's or Ray 10's in gunmetal would really set this thing off. The main thing stopping me from modding is the tires are brand spanking new so new my garage smells like rubber when its parked in there.

    I always crack up when I see people telling others not to mod their 1st gens...I guess they're hoping one day they might be able to buy it off of them. You'd cringe if you saw how pristine and unmolested my truck was a year and a half ago when I bought it, compared to now.

    Mod away! :spending:
