Glad everyone is ok. Can you get pics of the passenger side? It would be nice to see how the sliders held up, even though side impact isn’t what they were made for.

I would think $30,000 would "fix".

Sorry to see this, but happy you are able to tell the story.
Its nice that you had people stick around to tell what they saw also. I have been on both sides, as a witness and as the one who got hit and in that case the lady that was behind me and witnessed it worked for the District Attorney. Her statement went a long way in court.
Hope your doctor visit goes well and you can get into another truck.

    Far less.

I had the entire front end on my truck replaced from an accident and that was only $12k...I imagine the airbags would be another $5-8k on the high end of an estimate.

Unless you have frame damage, I doubt they will total the truck OP, sorry.

Glad you're OK! Definitely get checked out... I was t-boned in my old classic mini and I wish I had. I started getting pain in my wrists and neck shortly after which I couldn't initially feel due to the adrenalin.

    Hope you have no injuries!

WoW! Glad you and the lady got to walk out of this one Midnight.

Next to a head on collision a T-bone is bad. Nice to see the Taco airbags did their job. I was starting to think they were insensitive based on the last couple of tacos down when they didn't deploy. But it's quite the opposite, it seems they've gotten smarter.

The truck scratches can buff out, if not a new ride is instore for you. Shopping is so much FuN and the smell of a new truck so energizing AHh! :D

I see a mod in my future, I'll be installing a dash cam soon, it's getting bad out there

    Be safe!
    Cheers!

FYI you will need to replace the custom suspension with something before your insurance pays you for it. Luckily tacoma world is a great place to get stock parts!

Yeah sorry for your loss there OP... glad your OK.

And I was wondering how a stop sign and a red light go together in the same intersection??

Maybe cause Canada???.... I've seen red blinkers and stop signs x4 but never a stop sign and a green light.. thats confusing. Maybe the lady thought it was a 4way stop sign and she stopped and "thought" he's gonna stop so I'm going for it... ooops.

Good thing you didn't hit her in the driver door. That would a hurt.

I've had to slam on the brakes @ 40mph.... in intersection when light went from green to red (malfunctioning) and the oncoming left turn was already green with traffic heading my way head on.... I was able to stop b-4 accident. Scared the shit out of me. Slammed em on HARD as I could. Truck stopped in like 20 ft w/no lock up.. was amazed and terrified at same time.

Glad to hear you're both ok and that you didn't center punch that tree. I'll lower my flag to half mast for your poor Tacoma (and curse the Jeep). Take it easy today.

I was on a main road, but a lot of the smaller side streets that cross through don't have lights they have stop signs instead.

Glad you’re ok! I’ve been through the same thing recently in my 2017 Barcelona red taco. It is a sad day, but these trucks are built like brick sh*thouses! They serve us faithfully. Sad to see another BR down. My wife swears that red vehicles are crash magnets!
