I got 30% up front and they match almost exactly. Keep in mind different brands of tint will be slightly off from each other. I went with 3M Ceramic on the front windows.

I got 35%. It's slightly lighter than the rears, but matches pretty good.

I got 22% when I measured mine. Put 20% up front and it matches fairly well. Not exact as in you can tell of the inside looking out but not from the outside looking in.

In terms of the numbers is lower then number darker and higher number lighter, for instance is 20% darker then 30% or vice versa?

The lower the number the less light makes it through. 5% is almost completely black as opposed to 70% which you hardly know it's there. I have 70% Crystalline on my windshield and you cannot tell there is anything on the glass.

@Invid is correct. The percentage is the amount of light that passes through the window. 20% tint always 20% of the light pass through it. 30% lets 30% of the light through it being that it is lighter

Its probably not as close as youd want it to be but if you want to be compliant with the law then yes. In IL we can only go to 35% in the front. That being said, I went to a shop that would do 20 for me and I haven't had any problems in the last 4-5 months of tinted windows living in Chicago

Yeah 35% in Ma. And I'd rather not give police a reason to pull me over, I drive couple roads to work that they like to hangout and have already some issues with them

I forget what my % is, but I got mine to match the rear! Not too dark, not too light! Wife loves it, that's all that matters....

Would love to match rear windows but sounds like my lovely home state of Taxachusetts won't allow it lol
