Many outages in my area. Luckily we still have power. Was like an obstacle course driving to work this morning. http://outages.firstenergycorp.com/pa.html

Oh it’s bad trees all down around the house. Buildings flying apart here at work. Almost got whacked by a flying panel. Hit a couple of trees or big limbs in the rd bumper and skids did their jobs. You can barely make out in this picture wher the bumper was hit and the paint knocked off the skids

So, that picture of the ridge I posted was pretty cool. I caught that lighting when we had a ton of clouds overhead and then the afternnon sun to the west created those really cool shadows. Here's the original picture. These cell phone cameras are getting better and better.

    20180227_175805.jpg

Edit: That ridge is part of the southwest end of the Barry Goldwater Air Force Range.

Guess my day isn't so bad compared to many on the East coast. You all be careful and keep your head on a swivel! @Tacoma Mike you be especially careful with that ice. Hope things go well, or as well as they can.

Sat down at 6 this morning to connect to work and check emails, working from home today anyhow. Stupid thing to do 3.5 hours later finally came up for air. And coffee, lot more coffee needed yet today way behind.

Jim and Martin you keep posting pictures like you are I am going to end up packing up the truck and making a long drive. Want to go to both places now. Snow is melting here finally, mud season is just around the corner. As is more snow yet I'm sure.

Not only no but hell no! Have enough of them too, but thank goodness not near as many as you do. The stories I could tell about them, pretty sure you have more than your share too.

I was talking to some visitors yesterday. She's been retired for 3 years. Last summer they traveled a bit and they got home the day before he had to go back to work. He goes back to work 1 day and decides "screw this"...pulled the plug. They bought a 14' travel trailer and hooked it behind the Tacoma. This is their 1st year of snowbirding and love it. They said they're using this as their "learning curve year" and will make adjustments to their rig. I talk to people like this every year. Some have a huge budget, some don't. But they come every year and really enjoy that lifestyle. I don't think you could go wrong here or Florida, just whatever your personal preference is.
