I'm looking at the OME/Dakar because that is what Randy is use to and has offered to help with the install. I think they are perfect for me. I like the Bilsteins too but I think they cost more. I only want 3" max but I want all of that if possible. I can pull that off for under $1300. I think the Bilsteins are more for that amount of lift. No?

Ride a taco with blisteins and 33 tires before you get yours.

I know that when I priced out Bilstein and ome, Bilstein shocks w/ome springs were cheaper than a full OME setup. Granted 4runner is shocks and coils all the way around, so it may be different.

Hey guys, how does the Tacoworld Express work? I have Tube Steps, am in Northern Harford County, another member with Running Boards wants the steps I have, and he is in Laurel, and the third guy in Roanoke has Predators and wants the running boards.

It's a 10 hour excursion for me if I meet the board guy in Frederick and then drive to Staunton and then back to Street. :frusty:

    I want the Predators.

    Yawn...
Glad you and your truck and yourself came out alright, Mr. Panda guy...
I kind of wish someone came up with a fuel door lock for the 2nd gen, but it doesn’t seem so popular.

How are those lifted Tacos doing out on the highways in this very windy weather?

Mine is stock height and gets blown all around. I hope my alarm doesn’t go off when I’m at work.

Yea, the price I stated includes the Full Dakar Leaf Pack, bushings, u bolts, and ECGS bearing, and shims.

Does not include the installation fee. :D

Actually the Bilstein are cheaper! The OME are more heavy duty though. If you wanted to save money, pairing the 5100 with OME coils will save you a few hundred bucks and ride essentially the same. That was another set up that I've ran and liked it.
You pretty much post up in the NE TW Express thread and see if there's anyone that already drives those routes, or will be driving any bit of it. You just have to coordinate with different people to hand it off to each other to get it where it needs to go.
Probably terrible! Today was "drive the subaru to work so I don't flip over on the freeway" day.

Lol. Installing on a newer truck won't be too bad if you have help.

@EatSleepTacos helped me install my ome setup a couple days ago in 3 hours. The taco will probably take longer than that though.

Luckily not much longer, maybe an extra 30 min to an hour. Working on new trucks is a piece of cake.

Yeah we had three trees fall over in my street this morning, with one on a power line. Pretty wild.

Yes, he has offered and based on what I have read here I am glad and very appreciative. I will undoubtedly take him up on that because I am clueless, but I am trying to learn about lifts as much as I can before hand so I can be of some help. I am in no way ready. I need to come up with the money first. But I so want to do this.

3 hours is quick. But then I hear, so is he.....:rimshot:
