    Less is more.
How often will you actually use them?
    Are they worth the cost?
Are they really for the 'gram?

Hit the nail on the head! Only lights I want are bed lights or a better dome light in my truck cap.

    Scared of the dark? :boink:

It seems that the "lights on my truck like a UFO" style is not something found anywhere other than the US.
I have yet to see anything from Austrailia or Africa or Europe that has lights mounted on every possible location.

At most they have 2 round lights on the bumper or a bar above the windshield.

Driven by the concept of "cool" perhaps, idk.

I have a 3,000 lumen spotlight that puts out enough light for me. I really cant justify the pricing for rigid and black oak type brands. I know their quality is good, but damn!!!

    Agreed.

Even with a deal I cannot justify the cost.

Money in vs use of product.

My favorite lights that I have added are 2 that are mounted on my bed rack pointed to the sides. 1 each side. They are mounted slightly lose so I can turn and position them where I need them. They were very helpful on our last trip trying to setup Camp at night. At first I was unhappy because they are not super bright but by the end of the trip I was very happy with the brightness. Bright enough to see but not so bright that they blind you when working close to them.

    I just like having them.

    I rarely use them.

But, they are great for county roads at night.

I initially got my rigid ditch lights for trips to the PINS and our property in Colorado since its down off of a forest road, but leaving my house now at 4:15AM everyday I use them all the way down FM 969 and its incredible how many hogs and deer I see just off on the shoulder. I always turn them off to on coming traffic but I am very happy to have them when driving down my road.

I’m petrified of the dark had a Bigfoot encounter once. That’s all I’ll be doing perhaps some some amber lights for the bedrails for a trail group. My eyesight is not what it used to be at night so any extra on the trail will be great not doing a light bar on the top this will be all.

Just to clarify to all in case I am unclear.

I'm not shitting on anybody that has serious change invested in lights. Their money. Their truck. Their decision.
Just me personally, I can't spend that kind of money on lights.

I bought all my stuff on Amazon total setup will be about 300. I plan to use silicone to help with weather resistance.
