The pics of the mock-up are mine. I used a sheet of hard board from Lowe's to make the templates. It's great because it's' 1/4" thick and you can super glue it together. Here is the actual bumper. I've since added a winch.

Yeah, it' functional. I built an air box that seals against the hood, making it kind of ram air-ish, more like the pressurized airboxes on motorcycles. It needs to be tuned though. Currently researching options. I'e been looking at the MAF-CAL for some time, but I'm starting to lean more toward the fic-6. Open to input.

Not sure I realized your swingout was a dual. Def the direction I want to go if I ever go swing out I think.

Not sure how hard you beat on your rig, but if it's pretty hard I would def go 3/16" minimum for IFS. But if not, this will still be leaps and bounds better than stock. Looking great dude.

And as for myself, not done yet but I bought a new mod:

What would it sound like if I got it too tight?

Something is screaming when I get above 20 mph, is not rpm dependent, just seems to be speed. Which makes me think it’s not the belt and pulley.

I’ve retorqed the Cb 3 times to make sure I’ve got it right, and that doesn’t seem to change anything.

    I’m at a loss.

fan belt would squeal if its not tight enough. But that's usually load dependent not speed dependent.

Yea I can rev my truck up to 3k and it won’t do it, but the second I go over 20mph it’s there.

Sounds really quiet, but it’s there.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Some food for thought if ordering the Timing Belt/Waterpump parts.

So, here's an update on my Timing Belt / Water Pump etc. kit.

I just ordered these parts 2 days ago. I did contact the seller (through Ebay) to tell them I needed the parts by the weekend and to ask if they could ship overnight. I was plesantly suprised they messaged me back in less than 30 minutes... unfortunately they would not expidite shipping (even at my cost). They said they would process the order as soon as I made it and make sure the order was shipped ASAP and that I should have it by Saturday anyway. Well, according to the tracking, it was not shipped till 7:34 PM last night... and it's currently tracking to arrive on Monday... that's not good.

So a few minutes ago I recieve this Email from them.

Overall... I'm definately happy with the amount of communication from this seller. And I do understand mistakes happen. But this is 2 strikes now.

The fact that the kit is 100% OEM is a definate plus. Most of the kits I saw on Amazon were a mix of OEM and non-OEM. But most of them, on Amazon, came with a Motorad Thermostat. DO NOT USE A MOTORAD THERMOSTAT.

Motorad is "supposedly" fail safe. They claim they protect your motor from overheat. The way they do this is if the system gets too hot (even one time) the thermostat sticks open to allow water to keep flowing to cool the system... the problem is once it sticks open like that, it never closes again. And there have been many reports that they stick open at temps BELOW what they are supposedly rated at.

On a motor, like a Chevy 350, where the Thermostat is easily accessed for replacement, the Motorad might not be a bad idea (I still wouldn't use it though) But on our trucks, where it takes a couple hours just to be able to see the bolts on the thermostat housing... a Motorad thermostat is a terribly bad idea.

Anyway... I'll keep posting about my experience with Aircabinman and their Timing/Waterpump kit.

And here's a link to the thread if anyone wants to track my (lack of) progress on this.
