First page of my build (link in signature) has almost every photo in order. Then somewhere in the build pages it explains everything. I love the way monty did his build with links to each page, I need to do that someday

Ive been looking into doing long travel for years now, so im aware of all the preventive things to do, I was just more curious if anyone had insight of what to change out to new since ill be tearing apart the front end. You know, like "well im already here, might as well do this" kinda things. Trucks got just under 400K. Motor is at 87K.

Well the kit replaces most things as it is. And you said wheel bearings already.

If you haven't done steering rack bushings, do those, maybe your tie rods and shit.

You'll be doing new brake lines so if you want too, get new brakes.

I did ps pump two months ago and the rack an pinion 3 months ago. (new rack caused pump to fail.) I have the Total chaos bushing kit for the rack cause someone miss ordered it here at work. LOL Total Chaos says it comes with stainless lines in the kit, or were you referring to a different spot?

No i mean like bigger rotors and calipers if you want since you have to re bleed the brakes anyways as the kits comes with longer lines.

In my experience it's better to just bolt stuff on and take it out for a light test before gusseting - if it turns out you change your mind with the kit then it's a pita to cut out the gusseting to put your truck back to stock or switch it out to something else you end up wanting more within the first few months. That said I know this is a big investment and most people don't go back on their plans so maybe it's not the appropriate advice for everyone, especially if you don't like wrenching on your sh*t as much as I do lol

Most alignments come with a few month guarantee so you don't have to pay twice after taking lca's off or uca's if your heimed up top.

Ah i gotcha. yeah Id like to go to tundra brakes sooner than later. They are expensive though. Something I deff have plans to do, just not in the budget at the current moment. Im pretty sure most aftermarket 16" wheels will clear those calipers right? or do I have to move up to a 17? I have methods.

Not all wheels clear the calipers, not so much because of diameter but because of how the wheel is shaped.

Tundra brakes are only around 500 bucks. Not that expensive really.

I have the 16” double standard methods with 4.5 backspacing. Tundra brakes clear.
