The classic car world is entirely different than the supra niche. This is a single model of a single car, and every one of the trim levels/configurations is highly watched over, the value considered, and there's plenty of listings online to confirm the approximate value. Want proof that these can be expensive? There are usually one or two 100K+ listings around the web at any given time.
    www.supraforums.com

    https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...rchRadius=0&makeCode1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=SUPRA

    https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...rchRadius=0&makeCode1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=SUPRA

Then it all comes down to personal inspection to determine if the buyer wants it or values it at within +/- 5K or so of the overall market's feeling of what that configuration would be worth.

If you're not involved in the supra community I can understand why this may be weird/confusing. If you or anybody else knows a supra owner, go and ask them. They will know approximately what an n/a 5speed supra with 100K miles is worth, or a 6speed targa with 50K miles, etc.

This is not like the classic car world where condition is EVERYTHING and appraisals, 3rd party certificates of authenticity, dealer paperwork, etc are extremely valuable.

The 50K agreed value policy is just for my peace of mind that the insurance company doesn't screw me if I get in an accident and they try to tell me my '94 toyota is worth 8K.

Once again - if you're not in the supra niche, this will sound/look weird. This post is not meant to 'sell' a non-supra enthusiast on a supra. Not to mention one of the rarest variations of the supra. It is meant to just see if anybody here is a supra owner/fan or knows one that would be interested.

Selling a car for an inflated price based off “unofficial” numbers from a Supra forum doesn’t make sense either...

Again - selling the car based on what supras are worth to owners/enthusiasts. People asked what 1/9 is from so I mentioned where it comes from. FWIW members of the supra community quote these "unofficial" numbers for reference to either their cars or to approximate production numbers ALL the time.

http://www.suprahardtopregistry.com/main.htm I’m assuming you’re referring to this spreadsheet? You’ll have a hard time selling this as I’ve seen low mile (40k) TT manual hardtops being sold in the 40s.

    See earlier:
There's lots of baltics, lots of turbo cars, and lots of hardtops, but many are turbo swaps into n/a cars, 6 speed swaps into turbo automatic cars, repaints, etc.

I'm not here to argue value of my car. If it's not worth that, it wont sell. Or I'll drop my price, or I'll get talked down. Why don't you just let the market do it's thing?

I was just here to catch an easy eye of someone who might be interested cause I'm already on this forum, and I'm willing to pay a finders fee cause supra owners aren't common.

    Sheesh man.

    lol no you haven't.

Just ran the national market report on ALL turbo 1994 Toyota Supra 6spds. Average odometer 75k miles average price $66k.

Someone would have to be an absolute idiot to sell a TT with 40k miles for $40k.... Next time you "see" one let me know I'll buy it on the spot and instantly flip it at auction for a $15k profit.

    Untitled.jpg

OP is asking $1k below market value with 40k miles above market average... but given his is an ultra rare hardtop/color combo I'd say he's right in line with market.

I'm the one with actual data... you're the one fantasizing about being able to get a turbo supra for $20k below market value :jerkoff:

Something is worth what someone will pay. I wouldn't pay 500 bucks for a supra.... Baltic blue, turbo, no turbo, hardtop, ttop whatever!! I'm not a fan of that kind of car. GLWS hope you get what you want for it.

    "I wouldn't pay $500 for something worth $50k!" :boink:

You're either really rich and just don't need the money, or really poor because you don't the first thing about making money :D

    It’s a saying dope. Obviously I’d pay 500 for something worth 50k

If you aren't interested in the car move along. You have a problem with the price, tough luck. Read the BST rules before bashing the OP.

@jberry813 has been notified so chill out and buy it if you want or move on and don't bash.

Man I want a MK4 sooo bad. I'll never afford it though. Unless the value of my '77 Celica keeps going up.

Very nice. One of mine is 1 of 245 and I thought that was fairly rare.

Thanks! That certainly is. Really - all MK4s are pretty rare considering all things.
