Yep, all fuses are good. That was the first thing I checked.

Here's the schematic. The 30 amp fuse feeds all 4 PW switches in the drivers door. So, if the drivers door switches will make the other 3 windows work, and the switch assembly is good, then it has to be the PW motor or the wires between the switch and the motor. Time to pull the door panel and check for power at the motor with a test light while pushing the switch.

If the drivers door does not make the other 3 windows work, then you need to go upstream from the switch. Possibly a broken wire near the door hinge.

thanks for the schematic. all the other door switches work...the driver door switch does not work, does not make the other 3 windows work, but the window lock does work. Also, the other door switches don't work when the driver door switch assembly is disconnected. Hate to have to pull the whole wiring harness out and look for a broken wire.....

My wife laughed at me when I tried to buy a Tacoma with roll up windows. I tried to explain to her that eventually electric windows wil break.

How about getting a new 30 amp fuse and swapping it out...Each window has its own fuse. Just the Driver's side window is "special". it has to handle the auto down feature...

I had the same idea, spent $5 on a new 30amp fuse. Didn’t work.

verify power to the motor, when switch is moved up or down etc. If you got power to the motor and switch then most likely the motor.

Check for power at the fuse. Depending on what you find, the problem is either upstream or downstream.

Thanks everyone for the help. the culprit was a broken power wire between switch and fuse box, where it goes between door and body. Crazy, how that could happen.

Yep, happens. Every time the door opens and closes the wires bend. Eventually they break. It's not super common but it does happen. Glad you figured it out.
