Yeah, we talked about them in another thread. This one, 18 7/8 is the one Toyota specifies for the 5-lug. The middle height one is for Prerunners and 4x4s with a manual transmission. The tallest one is for Prerunners and 4x4s with the auto.

I highly suggest spending the $65 on this tool. You only need it for about 5 minutes but it's worth it. (For removal of harmonic balancer).

I did buy a new Fan Support Bracket... but it turns out this one appears to still be good. No play in the bearing, it turns free and smooth. BUT, it has 265,000 miles on it, so the $100 I spent on a new one is just cheap insurance.

So, I hit a snag the hydraulic tensioner bolt (red arrow) is siezed and the head of the bolt seems like it's starting to round out. I'm gunna pack it in for the night. I hosed it down with deep creep. We'll see what happens in the morning.

Here's a pic for refrence on where this is located.

The ironic part is the bolt I'm having problems with is the one thst is easy(er) to access. The back bolt, that you have to use a foot long extension and swivel, came off no problem.

Is that lower radiator hose going to fit now that the new radiator is 2" or more shorter for you??

Sorry I didn't answer sooner. Good catch. The lower radiator hose has no chance of working. I mocked it back up and the stock hose doesn't come close. I'll know more when I get the rest put back together.

But the thermostat was the wrong part. :frusty:

I had a crank pulley bolt ordered at the dealership that also came in today. (It is recommended to replace the crank pully bolt when you do this repair). Had to go to the dealership to pick up the bolt anyway, figured I'd get thermostat while I was down there.

$51.69 for a fucking thermostat??? WTF?
Exactly why I avoid stealerships at all cost.

    The Bed is stock...ish

I used the tool once... It tore the rubber and separated the pulley. I have used a socket right on the bolt and long breaker bar with wedged against the frame. then bump the starter to break the bolt loose. It has worked perfectly ever time. Just make sure the breaker bar is on top of the left frame rails.

Not saying that tool does not work, just something to keep in mind...

Morgan @foxrcing07 bailed my ass out today by bringing a bolt extractor for this bolt. The head was rounded off, but the extractor worked like a champ! Thank you Morgan!

Look at Gates 22120 lower radiator hose, from a dodge neon i think? Works perfect, you cut one side a few inches off, the curve and I.D. is the same as the lower tacoma hose. Been running one for 2 years now.
