I guess it was sport before it was upgraded to off-road package. it has the hood scoop so I guess its not sport anymore?

I like paddle sports and camping. So the Idea with my taco is a camper cap with a roof rack to get the boat to the water. some trail crawling would be nice too!

Or you may be broke in about 6 months time with this site. Lol
Check the regional section for your local threads and keep an eye on the market place for a cap and a rack.

In the 2nd gen lineup, the Sport had the hood scoop. Off Road had the skid plate and rear locker (I think that was OR only at the time). If you have A-TRAC, locker, and a scoop, you most likely have an OR where someone swapped the hood.

I'm pretty sure its actually a sport but on one side is says trd sport and on the other side is says trd off-road so I'm confused because it has the matching painted bumper, hood scoop, 17" wheels I'm not seeing skid plates if it had rear locking diff what would it look like? But it doesn't have keyless entry like the sport would have so I feel like its a hybrid of some sort.

If it had a rear-locking diff, there would be a button inside the cab for it. Color-keyed bumper was also a Sport feature, so I would guess sport feature without keyless entry? Not sure.
