Are you referring to a ignition coil? If so I would trust one from Napa but not AutoZone and the like.

Is that the part where the key is inserted? If so then yes. It is not a programmed key so it should just be that one part to replace?

I don’t think it is a “coil”, it’s the tumbler assembly for the key....

Ok so I will check with Napa tomorrow

Have you replaced one? Doesn’t look too difficult...

I have not on a 2nd gen but I am sure you can YouTube tech it. Keep in mind you will have to re key your door locks or carry two keys if you use a key to gain entry.

not to bad to do, have a locksmith rekey it to match your doors so you don't have two different keys

It's a tad tricky, the manual describes putting the old key in and turning to acc mode, then depressing a pin on the back.

The second part is releasing the latch that clasps on after the ignition cylinder has moved partially out.

The best thing to do is examine the new cylinder and visualize how its being held in. Then with a small pick unlatch the hook.

You can do it. Take your time and take pictures as you go in case you forget how something goes.
