Individual? What’s box 17? (I’m too lazy to look it up)
That’s fucked up, they should’ve had it processed by now.

    Trust.

I double checked with my dealer because it made no sense. He has yet to receive anything to send back for corrections.

#17 is Issued Alien or Admission number, which was N/A for me.....

I'll have try to get ahold of someone from corrections and hound them to get it moving.

I would definitely say your best bet is to call the ATF and ask around, when they hear the submission date they should help you out ASAP.

Last time I checked, the smug woman I talked to actually chuckled and told me it's not getting approved anytime soon. But all things considered it should be a simple double check on the Form 4 and off to an expedited approval.

Shot my CVA .300BLK this weekend with some cheap as hell $.09 each reloads. Shooting about 1" groups at 50yds. On my YHM sidewinder 9mm can it sounded like a quiet air rifle. Fun stuff.

Had a lot of fun today, started with the Optimus shooting subs on my M&P 40 converted to 9mm with a silencerco barrel, pretty happy with the sound, but it was slightly louder than I was expecting and wasn't blown away, the gun started malfunctioning and we decided after shooting supers and subs through it that the recoil spring is too strong to use with 147 sub ammo, then put it on my Glock (which I knew was tight, but fuck it) and had some malfunctions with it as well.

Moved to another place to shoot and put it on my 11.5" AR SBR chambered in 556, I was blown away with how quiet it was shooting at a stump 15 yards away, ran a 30 round mag through it and had no ringing in the ears or discomfort, then moved it to my 16" 6.8 SPC upper and was equally impressed with the lack of sound. Finally I put the suppressor on my savage 10 FCP-SR chambered in .308, it was slightly louder than either of the other rifles but still very quiet considering how loud a normal .308 is.

We then put the can back on the M&P and ran it some more and I became more satisfied with the sound reduction, particularly the subs, 9mm supers with the can aren't that impressive to me because of how loud the crack is.

    A few notes,
I don't have any buyers remorse
I will probably run the can more on my AR's and bolt gun than anything else (that may change when I get setup to run the can on my AR-9)
Even though setting up the optimums for different configurations is time consuming and a general PITA I like having the options available for different setups, to swap between my rifle calibers it's a simple unthread it from one gun and put it on another, it's when 9mm comes into play it becomes more work.
I will be buying a dedicated rifle can in the future, probably a Griffin Paladin or Recce 7 so I can use the same taper mounts.
I may or may not end up buying a dedicated pistol can, I still haven't decided, but if I do I will be buying another .22 can before that to have a smaller can for my .22 bolt gun, because my bolt gun with standard velocity ammo doesn't need a 6.5" suppressor to be stupid quiet, and I want a slightly smaller diameter so it doesn't look so out of place.

Overall super happy with the Optimus, great entry can (IMO) that is like a guiding light to help you decide what you want and what you don't when you don't have the ability to get hands on with different cans, it made up my cousins mind that he will be getting one when funds allow, his wife is even on board after hearing the M&P shoot suppressed.

P.S., 9mm with subs was about as loud as a mild hand clap, .223 and 6.8 were slightly quieter than an unsuppressed long barreled .22 rifle shooting standard velocity (900-1050 FPS), and the .308 was about the same as an 18" .22 rifle with high velocity ammo.

It’s very similar, my cousin clapped both before and after shooting and it was very close, google shows the average clap to be ~130 at 10 feet so that should be fairly close, going from a quiet truck I thought it was kind of loud, and then we started shooting other guns and it got quiet very quick

The retaining “cage” was not lubricated, I’ll have to try that, I was running LAX ammo 147 reman’d loads, but the ejection was kind of weak without the can as well, I’m wondering if the 9mm and .40 springs are different, the gun had the factory spring from the .40 slide assembly.

I had the same problem with my P320. My P226 would cycle without a problem but the p320 wouldn't eject correctly. Called SiCo and they told me to make sure the O-ring around the piston has grease on it. They said gun oil won't last dry long and to use gun grease.

This dumbass forgot to transfer the Optimus from the 556 to the .308 and shot the .308 without hearing protection, I need a suppressor for every long gun...,
