Cool, I have what looks like the same exact thing on the driver's side. One nipple has the hood latch, then there's the thick main harness, then a capped nipple.

Holy shit I just cut the zip tie holding the harness together, this face plate wire loom is like 12 feet long! I could probably bring it in the passenger's side and loop it back over to the driver's side!

@Istan , how did you run your control panel wiring for your switch pros?

I snipped the tip off the little nipple thing in the firewall and I could run my blue wire in there if I just had a nice long zip tie and some electrical tape, but the 4 pin harness plug with the jacketing? hell no, that doesn't look like it's gonna fit!
Did you trim back the corrugated jacketing? Seems like that's the best idea, especially because then you can neatly bundle the extra, but it's not gonna solve jamming the connector through.

Warm it up with your finger first. Geez. Then slowly ease the tip in.

tape a metal coat hanger, get your 4 pin harness plug and whatever else, and tape it against the hanger with electrical tape TIGHTLY. Tape it so that there is a little ramp to the harness plug. then feed it through.

Again, makes sense that they reach out to us. Brandon assured me that anything thats going to be later than 6 weeks was contacted. I don't believe these 2 are even at 6 weeks.

But seriously dude, you of all people know we take care of customers and especially locals.

So please if in the future you know someone with an issue, just send them to me.

Look at my build thread Nitori. Rubber grommet from Lowe’s, it’s a great fit.

You lads and your fancy brake boosters!! *shakes fist at sky*

Ya see, I can feel the grommet, but it's right... about... here:

Although, there is a perfectly good grommet on the other side of the truck:

I'm thinking I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow. It seems like there is a chance that if you can thread in the connector and get it out from the crunch that is the HVAC blower, the switch pros harness has more than enough slack to take the long way around.

Plenty of room here. Make a slit in the rubber under the current cable and shove it in. Sheesh!

I could barely get my snips in to cut the nipple tip off down there!

Also I'm not gonna slash open the grommet, it'll start leaking... :spy:
... OK you can tell I'm from a far more... moist area of the country. That sort of thing would result in instant wet carpets in PA.

Dude, try 1.5 million people over a 3 day weekend. Thats why i never bothered going to the miramar airshow while i was stationed there. Mt Soledad with a set of binos was free and only 1.5 miles away from my house.

I store my tampons in the fender well just below that grommet.
I drove from Los Angeles to Honolulu. Once I arrived I checked and the tampons were warm and dry. ;)

Hahaha you keep talking fresh and I will un-gift this gasshole! :p

I mean honestly I don't doubt that cutting it would 99.9% be no issue, I just have my own little OCD things because I have gotten leaks before and it would be insufferable trying to replace such a large grommet. You'd have to rip the damn dash apart. I don't even know if it would be possible, given how it's right around a major artery of the wiring harness.

If it were a little blank bugger that's all of a buck at your local parts department, out would come the choppy and stabby. I've cut through those or replaced those with open grommets all the time, installing boost gauges and whatnot.

I cut a slit in that grommet to run my wires through and then I put some clear silicon over it to close it off from the elements. Did this same process on my F150 and I’ve never had issues with water getting in. I figure if water gets past the grommet and my silicon then it deserves to be there!

I'll take a pic in the morning. I got it in. But when I tried to get it back out...wires had to be cut.
