No power here. What is frustrating is that the neighbor across the street is on a different grid so they have power.

I've got the wood stove going and the baby asleep nearby. It's going to be a long night as I will likely need to stay up to keep the fire going. I've got water in the basement for the first time ever with now power to deal with it. Somehow my fireplace clean out is accruing water.

This sucks.

 

What's the thinking behind doing it in the spring? I would think the salt would be off the roads by then. I guess it's still good protection for the frame. I'll probably be there anyways!

We lost power earlier, and being in an apartment that meant there was no anything. I just took a nap.

Luckily I've got a power conditioner/battery backup for my home theater setup, so I just charged my phone off that haha

 

Fluid film needs several applications to proper soak in and should be done at least twice a year

 

Not having power sucks, hope you all get through ok.

 

Fair enough! I've always heard once a year before winter, but it's not too expensive and it's a good excuse for a meet up! So I'll be there.

 

I'm thinking more is better at first, so a coating in the spring makes sense to me. And I agree on the meet part. I'm not the most social person, but when I went to the other Fluid film in Mass, it was cool to meet some folks from here.

Potentially! My birthday is the 9th so I have might celebration plans for that weekend but we'll see!

 

For sure man! Levi did a test on a rotor at his place, sprayed it with FF and lect it outside. Took about 3 months to show rust again. Normally they'll be surface rusted after a good rain

My guess is the T55 head and the taper for easy start on the assembly line. But I need to work on getting my bed to stop slapping the frame on my regular cab. I could also make some but not worth my time... Speaking of Manufacturer only stuff- @emelianenkov you better hope I find a cheaper tap and die combo. Those m15x1.5 thread are rare as Fuck. Fastenal and Atlantic Fastener, nation wide had nothing threaded male or female for that thread. Fastenal has 1 record of making a specialty tap and die for m15x1.5

 

I don't want to step on @surfandturf toes, but if anyone can't make it to his spray day, I could do one on another weekend.
