What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I had this issue when I changed my plate lights out. The stock lens reflects light in all directions.. even into the reverse camera. I am thinking about making drop in replacement Housing with directional LEDS pointing ONLY where you need them (straight to the lisence plate) and reducing glare while reversing at night.

BTW those two wide lines you see are only seen on the phone can, not the naked eye. I'm happy. Trying to figure out where else I can use these same LED bulbs

 

Pardon my ignorance but what’s the drivers side shackle attached to? And is it strong enough for a recovery point?

 

Any recommendations for a pair of LED license plate light bulbs ?

I thought of that earlier and in my mind said @mesojdm can totally create it....and here you are!

 

I was thinking of making a shield for the tops of the lights to cut down on the glare but I'm sure meso customs will introduce a solution for this soon.

yep, two in the map lights and two in them license plate. Trying to figure out if I can use the same bulbs elsewhere. I thought it was a pretty easy install. (They are really really bright though) YouTube videos and posts on this form gave me the encouragement to JUST DO IT.

I'm really craving the skid plate now!

The map and license bulbs are the same, others are different bulbs. I gave my extras away to coworkers (mil base so there are literaly 100s of Tacomas in parking lot)

 

If I owned a dealership, and found out I had morons in the parts department discouraging customers from buying accessories....

This happened to me on something as simple as ordering oem mudflaps. I knew they’d price match online deals, so I called to hook it up. I gave him the part # for the flap that fits flared fenders. He tries to tell me it might not fit my “18. I’m like “trust me” lol

 

Just saw them... Have not bought one.

 

Of course, looks very sturdy
