If you add up the same options for the sr5 to equal the sport I think it comes out to about 3-400 cheaper.

Just a side note, I think the locker option on some of the other models/trims is definitely an automatic diff lock, rather than the selectable locker. (I have not done enough research on which models have what.) This means that when they add the automatic diff to the truck, they don't have to add switches or anything. I believe the selectable (dash controlled switch) locked diff is superior to the automatic locker.

There really is not much cosmetic difference between the Sport and Off Road, body colored Fender Flares and a Scoop.

You mean for the option you can add if ordering new? I think you’re right. Buddy of mine at work just got a Colorado LT 4x4 and it didn’t come standard with a locker, but he said it was an option if he wanted.

Which strangely affects the looks a lot.

Get the damn sport already. You're a grown man. Make your own choices....based on a few of your comments, it's apparent that you prefer sports aestherics over the functional aspects of the offroad. There's nothing wrong with that sentiment. The only thing standing in your way is the "perception" of other people. Who gives a shit what others think....your money and you're driving it everyday.

I purchased the OR bc I personally prefer the looks of it over the sport....rugged over sleek.

    Anyways...Enjoy your your new truck.

I don't think it looks much different at all. you might as well go for the SR5.

It’s more like I appreciate the extra functions, but if I don’t really need them since not seriously off roading... wouldn’t picking the best looking to me make sense?

Again if you build the same sr5 comparable to the sport, it’s only 3-400 less

What about the Frontier? I know the Pro4x has a locker, but i'm not sure about the other models.

Lol nope. And the pro4 only has the locker. Their off road model. Plus my dad has one from 2011. I love the taco and already this forum too much to go elsewhere

I obviously need a pro... but funds!

Anyways thanks guys for putting up with my ish. I’m prob gonna just go sport because after really thinking about things I just don’t see myself really getting into off roading and I love the sport looks.

You can't select a locker option on the SV? I figured since it has the same axle as the Pro4x it would be an option.

Maybe you can? I just meant what comes standard. Besides even if you could you’d be ordering a new one.

I just tried, and didn’t see an option for a locker on the sv. Also I think the MT sport had the same axle as the OR too right? Wonder if that would make getting an OR axle on it easier? ;)

If you are not into any Off Roading would the Ridgeline be worth a look?
