I would say that they do colors that way, but I would say knowing how they do mixed model transmissions and different engines for different vehicles on the same lines i wouldn't be surprised if they build all models on the line at the same time. I don't really know but I work at a toyota powertrain plant and see how we do, figure they do same at vehicle plant. Now I'm curious exactly how they do it.

When I ordered my Truck the Dealer explained it that way to me, said they only do same models for a set period of time to limit variables in production and produce enough to keep the supply line full until the next run. The Mexican Plant also does not produce any Manual Trans Models and if not mistaken no Access Cabs either.

In a real stroke of irony....doesn't SR5 stand for "Sport Rally 5-Speed"?

It works great, you just gear down if you have to. Why would you be driving a manual if you can't press a clutch?

I was under the impression that automatic braking came into play if you were not paying attention and about to hit something to bring the truck to a stop. I was thinking if you were not paying attention enough to be able to hit the brakes in time then I doubted you would have time to shove the clutch in either. Maybe the system is designed for something other than what I was thinking about, but glad to hear it works great.

Ok yeah I have not yet experienced the situation you described, the way the automatic braking works for the dynamic cruise control is more what I was referring to.

Yeah that makes sense in the confusion, the Dynamic Cruise sounds pretty damn cool though.
