Someone on Pearl has a set of them on their 4Runner near one of the dry docks. They’re good looking wheels.

There is a set of heads and tails on CL right now. Buy the extra headlights and do the mod without having to put the truck down then when you install the new lights sell the stock ones to recover the money. If you buy the set I'll give you $50 for the tail lights, I need another set of tails

That would be nice, but the only set I seen was for a 2nd gen. Maybe gone already?

I just throw money at my truck
76E66224-F3C4-43F8-A681-876CA83CEDA9.jpg I’ve got an assignment to Hawaii from Alaska. Contemplating on bringing the truck with me. How’s the off-road scene and fabrication shops on Oahu? I’m about to start a long travel build and I’m wondering if shipping the truck is worth it. Im quoted about $110/hour for custom fab work here in AK from someone who knows LT builds very well. Will I find enough high speed trails in HI as well as a fab shop to build LT that can beat $110/hr? And does anybody have info on how much it costs to ship a vehicle from AK -> HI? Also, how are shipping prices to Hawaii? Just for reference, it’s about $250 to ship a Pelfreybilt bumper from Washington to AK and I wonder if shipping prices are comparable from California to Hawaii.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Haha ya was looking around to see if you where around to
Shipping to Hawaii could cost an arm an a leg at times depending on what you are trying to bring in..we have had a couple Pelfreybilt group buys which helped a lot on the price of shipping.

Theres roughly 3-4 trails on the island im tracking. no fab shop that im aware of.

Will I find enough high speed trails in HI as well as a fab shop to build LT that can beat $110/hr?
If you dont count the freeways with pot holes...then no high speed trails. Im sure @hacklerjason can fab stuff/build LT for you at a reasonable price.

ship a vehicle from AK -> HI?
last I heard its about ~2500 from AK -> HI

how are shipping prices to Hawaii?
It cost me 400 to ship a bumper from colorado to here, so its quite abit more.

3-4 trails.. I’m sure you guys make the most of it. Mostly mud and damp trails I’m guessing? Lockers and mud tires a must?

Id be looking at spending close to $5k on a vehicle when moving there if i left the truck behind so maybe i should save that money and just ship the truck.. is there anywhere I can see @hacklerjason work?

Hahaha! First thing to learn in HI is to slow down. Other than the really short freeways, ain't nothin highspeed here.

Just a few trails, most of which you don't need 4x4 to make it (if it's dry).

It cost me $2k to have my car shipped from FL to HI. I did contemplate driving to the Las Angeles port, but shipping was still $1k from there.

Nice truck tho! It'll fit in with all the Tacos here. Your jaw will drop once you stop look at the beautiful scenery and start noticing all of the Tacos on this island. I swear it's the state vehicle. Lol

That island life. I wouldn’t be opposed to slowing down.. the trail damage is usually much less severe at lower speeds.

Have you ever been on Toyotaholics on Facebook? I swear, half the posts on that page are from Hawaii. The beach trucks are awesome.
