Unfortunately, the Dorman set is totally inferior to what Jersey Hubs or MB2B build out using Timken bearings etc. It's just not OEM quality and won't last like these will. But it would be a faster fix if absolutely necessary. o_O

Cool thing about Rock Auto is you order and pay and they ship you your stuff.
Doesn't seem to work that way with TW vendors.

I ordered 1 from summit racing last night. It was $126 shipped last night and i got a tracking # 2 hours after i hung up the phone. It will be here Tuesday morning. It might only last 2 or 3 years, but a new truck will be in my garage likely before it fails. If the one I originally ordered from jersey does actually ship, i will just replace the drivers side with it. My passenger side is the bad one right now. Adding shipping costs put rock auto just a few $ less than summit so its all good. The crazy thing is auto zone locally has the same dorman part but it's $205. I can wait a couple of days to save the cash. If it catastrophically fails between now and tuesday, its nice to know its 10 minutes away if I absolutely need it.

20180303_152305.jpg this showed up 16 hours after I ordered it from summit racing. If the jersey built order does get shipped, I will replace the drivers side just so both are new.

I am going to install tomorrow morning. Will let you know how it goes. Paypal assured me i will either have my hub by the 11th of march or i will get refunded by paypal. Again, i would rather have the hub, but if not, i would like a refund. If you file a dispute with paypal, it takes like 10 days or so to work with the seller to come through or money is refunded. Once i get the bad hub off, i am going to try pressing it apart and see about replacing only the bearing and having a spare.

I’m not trying to steal business away from this guy, but since he’s MIA I could help. I make bearing/hub assemblies for my manual hub conversion kit, I could put together regular assemblies for you guys.
Give me an hour or two and I’ll put together a price.

I was hoping for some communication this weekend, but so far nothing. I guess I am going to look elsewhere and hope PayPal refunds. @05Taco4x4 let me know what you got. I need something very soon, otherwise I guess I'll go the Dorman route.

I ordered from eBay. Got them quickly and for under $100. Time will tell if they how good they are. Bolted right on, easy job.

Ok, so an interesting little fact: the Dorman hubs are 4x more expensive than the last time I looked for them (~1.5 yrs ago). I found an alternative, just as good; people were going with Dorman because it was the cheap alternative, not anymore.

I have started a for sale thread here:

I've tried to get ahold of him too - no luck so far. Starting a list of all those who have outstanding orders.

Still no contact here either. Here is why my original failed. Pitting on race . Dorman assembly went on perfectly, no issues. I had my original hub and bearing apart with my press in about 10 minutes. I'm going to get a new bearing, seal, and bolts and build a spare for drivers side. Good bearings are $60 ish and that's about 1/2 What I paid for my Dorman asdembly. If you have a press, I wouldn't hesitate to do this. I just have a cheap 20 ton harbor freight one and it popped the bearing off with no effort. I can't imagine it would be any more difficult assembling a new one. Just be sure to press the bearing on the inner race to avoid damage. The factory bearing was an nsk 54kwho1.20180304_112334.jpg
