I don't think so, but it is "All Wheel Drive" which would meet his requirements better than a Tacoma.

Heaven help me, but I actually liked the first gen Ridgeline. It looked fine and rode nice.

If we were all serious off road junkies we should have purchased the Colorado zr2. Front locker ftmfw....I'm starting to get buyers remorse. ;)

Yeah the second gen ones are not good looking. The first gen ones were much better IMO.

The moment you need a locker and don’t have one is the real pity.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound in cure.

Like the above post, get the sport. It’s what you want, and that’s fine. Enjoy.

Yes, option for ordering new. You were just complaining about the lack of options on Tacoma. I was indicating that adding the locker option for other companies is much easier IF they use the automatic diffs, as they don't need to add cockpit controls.

When would I need a locker if not doing any real off roading is the question.

If you’re in any kind of inclement weather and not on pavement. If you’re ever in mud you misjudged, which you will.

I have a rear locker. Used it twice. I don’t necessarily need it, but I’d rather have it and not need it than ever need it and not have it.

If you’re not going to be doing any real off road trips, why not save even more money and get a 2WD?

I had a 2010 Sport DCSB stock. It got me home in 5-8inches of snow on the Highway that was closed. ( I worked at a hospital and could have stayed overnite). No one else was on the road including plows or Troopers. It was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. But it attests to the ruggedness and 4 wheel capability of even the sport. I don't think my Colorado Z71 would have made it.

As previously suggested, get an OR and buy/trade fenders and hood skewp later down the line as you acquire funds. I'm guessing the OR will hold more value if you end up selling it too.

I was set on getting an OR but I test drove a sport just to make an informed purchase on my OR. I noticed the hood skewp made the already less than stellar visibility even worse imo.

Ahem...Your insecurities don't allow you to properly reconcile your feelings of inadequacy with your abandonment issues, which you seek to ameliorate by going "Off Road", essentially "abandoning" yourself, and thus creating a sense of control.

    You see?

Don't ask what TRD Pro ownership means. it's a deep, dark, shameful hole...that you don't want to fall into.

Any kind of inclement weather like snow? Literally have been told a locker can be worse and not do anything and regular 4x4 is more effective. It’s funny, you keep trying to justify it by saying inclement weather... then off pavement... then in tons of mud. What don’t you understand about that being considered more than I’d ever be taking my truck? Plus I’m pretty sure there are countless videos of sports doing just fine in that stuff. I think you forget it’s still a 4x4? You’re basically saying a 4x4 is worthless unless it has a locker. Do all other 4x4s on the road have lockers? The majority prob don’t. Saying I should just get a 4x2 basically is you saying the 4x4 without locker has no advantages.

Again, it’s not super easy to just find a bunch of exact painted sport cosmetics and it’s a pain as I don’t plan on modding really other than a lift down the road possibly. Looking to be happy stock for now and most ORs look like s models stock.

I obviously didn't read through 7 pages of this, but get a Sport. Great truck more than adequate for anything you could need. I have an off-road myself as it fit my needs better but on road they aren't much different. I WAS actually going to buy a Sport simply for the fact that I could get it with a Long Bed AND a manual transmission. In the end I opted for a short bed auto anyway ...... :facepalm:As my build plans changed drastically with the intro of the new GoFastCamper (didn't need to sleep in the long bed). Anyway get a Sport be happy, and if you change directions and decide you want be a hardcore badass like the rest of us (sarcasm) add lockers to the lifted Sport you have anyway. No big deal.
