I too would like to see install pics since the compressor isn't water proof. For $170 I'd be all over it! Just need ideas on where to stuff the damn thing. :D

For $169... I can't even contain myself... My plan is to build a box for it in the side of the bed. That way I can put an access door on it and store some hose.

I gotta find out the specs of the compressor out and see if I can make this happen... It would be very nice to have a decent on board compressor for train horns as well as some on board air...

From looking at the picture on the E-Bay listing, it looks like the compressor is bolted onto the end of the resevoir tank. So.... if that is true, a person could unbolt it and mount the compressor under the hood to stay reasonably dry. Then you could put the reservoir under the box or inside the front bumper or.......?
    Just an idea.

I was under the impression that the compressor was integrated with the tank, and as such not removable. :notsure: Can anyone confirm that?

Thats too bad that it is all one unit. It also explains why no one has separated one before.

This must be a California kind of thing? Don't think you would see that in my area. People wouldn't want to scare the crap out of another driver which could so easily turn into a wreck if you startle someone enough. To each their own I guess.
