S mode requires manual [input in order to] shift past 4th right? This is definitely true for a stock truck.

S mode doesnt manually shift, its a top gear selecter

 

read...i said requires a manual shift past 4th gear. Stated another way. If I place the gear selector in s-mode, it defaults to S4, and, like you said, since S mode is a top gear selector, it will not automatically upshift into S5 without the driver 'manually' applying forward pressure to the gear selector thereby selecting the next higher gear.

That's one reason that many owners like the SSP since it does the manual top gear selection for the driver.

 

No. Truck is in auto and home 4th gear to the point I put it into S and shift it into 5th and than put it back into auto. At which point everything goes back to normal shifting.

Mine didn't do this with 1.02 but def does with 1.03. Going straight in reverse the rpm's will surge up and down with no a/c on or anything. 1000 miles on 1.03.
