They're both marked as +spec, but it is worth a shot I guess. It'll be easy enough to do and free haha

If it's the UG suction cup mount, expect it to fall off with humidity/temperature changes. I have mine mounted close to your location, using the sunvisor mounting hole, once you get used to it, it is a nice location due to being out of the way enough but also close to a normal eye line.

One might be slightly taller than the other even though they are the same + spec. If so you could put the taller one on the driver side.

I added a truck cap. I got a great deal used. I like it! :)

Added a spare tire carrier to the bed it will allow me to mount my second battery underneath it and free up some real estate...

I stuffed a .5" shim in mine. Then used the trim packer and .25" plate up front. It's close enough where I can't tell.

Gotcha! I'll try that hopefully today and post back with how it goes. Thank you.
Yea spacers are what others have reccomend so far. If I can I want to avoid a trim packer since I'd have to take the strut assembly apart and then most likely have to get an alignment afterwards.

Did you lift the rear or just the front. Curious bc I’m planning to lift at some point in the near future.

Did your dakars come with the overload leaf like this? https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p465/OME_Add-a-leaf_(PAIR)_-_D29XL_.html

That would raise one side 15mm (0.59 inches). Same as a small spacer but at least you would get some extra support if you have heavier loads.

Yes both sides have the overload spring. Could I just take either that or just one leaf from the passenger side and call it a day? Or would that drastically change something else?
